Biography

Was an American television, film, and stage actor. He was known for his portrayal of a Louisiana sharecropper who struggles to support his family during the Great Depression in the landmark film Sounder which earned him an Academy Award nomination. Winfield also portrayed Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in the television miniseries King, for which he was nominated for an Emmy Award. Navid Negahban

Biography

Navid Negahban was born and raised in Mashhad, Iran. His passion for acting led him to Germany, where he spent eight years honing his theatrical skills prior to arriving in the US. Navid has been building a strong resume ever since, playing a broad range of intriguing characters for film, theatre, and television. Navid has a powerful leading role in the stunning dramatic feature The Stoning of Soraya M., and significant supporting roles in Brothers with Tobey Maguire, directed by Jim Sheridan, Powder Blue with Jessica Biel and Forest Whitaker, and Charlie Wilson's War opposite Tom Hanks, directed by Mike Nichols. On TV, Navid had a recurring role on the eighth and final season of 24, and guest appearances include Lost, CSI: Miami, Law & Order, Covert Affairs, and NCIS: Los Angeles. Navid recently (2011) appeared as Dr. Robert Stadler in Atlas Shrugged Part 1. He also shot The Power of Few in New Orleans with Christopher Walken and Christian Slater. Sean Connery

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Anders Öfvergård

Biography

Sven Anders Öfvergård, also known as Arga snickaren, born 3 January 1968 in Danderyd parish, Stockholm County, is a Swedish broadcaster, construction engineer, contractor and television personality. He runs the construction company Öfvergård Konsult AB. Previously, he ran four pubs for over a decade and worked for Lowe Brindfors. Between the years 2009 and 2016, Öfvergård recorded TV shows for Kanal 5 in Sweden with program titles such as Arga snickaren, Arga restaurangen and Nybyggarna. In autumn 2016, he was recruited to TV4[1] where he hosted a series of programmes such as Fuskbyggarna, Anders knocks on the door and Robinson, but also appeared as a contestant in Let's Dance 2017 with Cecilia Ehrling Danermark.[2] He also appeared in the Channel 5 series Den stora hälsoresan. In September 2021, TV4 announced that it was terminating its collaboration with Öfvergård, after he behaved inappropriately at a staff party[3]. Öfvergård is married with four children and lives in Värmdö.

Joshua "Josh" Safdie (born April 3, 1984 in New York City) is an American director and screenwriter, best known for the New York-set thrillers Good Time (2017) and Uncut Gems (2019). Together with his brother and frequent collaborator Benny Safdie, they are of Syrian-Jewish ancestry and grew up between their European father in Queens and their New Yorker mother in Manhattan. The brothers began making movies when they were kids, inspired by their film-enthusiastic father who translated his love of cinema to Josh and his brother by constantly filming them.

Fedde le Grand

Biography

Fedde le Grand is a Dutch house DJ and producer. Best known for his 2006 track "Put Your Hands Up 4 Detroit", which topped charts both domestically and in the UK and Spanish dance charts.   Fedde co-founded Flamingo Recordings, a satellite radio company, and mixes a weekly radio show entitled “Dark Light Sessions” featuring music by fellow Flamingo artists.   le Grand is a regular contributor and remixer for international dance sensations, often at personal request of the artists such as Robbie Williams and Will.i.am of The Black-eyed Peas.   Sometimes known as “The Flying Dutchman”, Fredde continues to be active in the dance and electronica music scenes.  He regularly places on DJ Magazine’s annual Top 100 DJ Poll, where he has climbed from 29th in 2009 to a career high of 14 in 2011.  He regularly scouts for new talent, contributing to the success of such acts Doctors in Florence, Roul and Doors, and Danny Avilia.

Dlouholetý člen Divadla Járy Cimrmana se narodil 16.12. 1919 ve Velvarech u Prahy. Původní profesí překladatel se k dnes již legendárnímu souboru připojil v roce 1969 a poprvé se objevil ve hře Hospoda Na Mýtince. V mužském souboru byl častým představitelem ženských postav. Ve společnosti divadelních kolegů jsme jej v menších, leč rozhodně ne zanedbatelných rolích, mohli vídat i ve filmu. Jaroslav Vozáb měl velmi specifický projev a nezaměnitelný hlas. Právě proto byl režiséry obsazován a z epizodních rolí se díky němu stávaly nesmrtelné a hlášky pronesené jeho ústy až kultovní. Kdo neslyšel větu "Hujer, metelesku, blesku!" tak by se měl podívat na komedii MAREČKU, PODEJTE MI PERO (1976). Jaroslav Vozáb zde v roli tlumočníka doprovází zahraniční delegaci továrnou a uvedená replika měla být překladem příkazu "Hujere, jděte si po svejch!". Scénář z pera duchovních otců českého velikána Járy Cimrmana (S+S) je zde opět dotažen k dokonalosti. Jeho filmografie obsahuje takové klenoty české kinematografie jako NA SAMOTĚ U LESA (1976), KULOVÝ BLESK (1978), VRCHNÍ, PRCHNI! a POSTŘIŽINY (oba 1980), JÁRA CIMRMAN, LEŽÍCÍ, SPÍCÍ (1983), ROZPUŠTĚNÝ A VYPUŠTĚNÝ (1984) a mnoho dalších. V "gotickém příběhu" Jana Švankmajera OTRANTSKÝ ZÁMEK ztvárnil hlavní roli badatele. Krátkometrážní pseudodokument odhaluje historii jednoho hradu v Severních Čechách. 3. dubna 1988 Jaroslav Vozáb navždy odešel. Pochován je v rodných Velvarech.

Roger Planchon

Biography

Roger Planchon (born 12 September 1931 in Saint-Chamond, Loire, died on 12 May 2009 in Paris), was a French playwright, director, and filmmaker. Roger Planchon spent his childhood in the Ardèche, notably in Dornas. He found its inspiration from his rural origins and this issue was a recurring theme in his writings. He started on stage in 1949 after winning an amateur theater. In 1952, he founded the Théâtre de la Comédie, located in the rue des Marronniers, in Lyon. He was the director of the Théâtre de la Cité of Villeurbanne since 1957 (which became the Théâtre National Populaire in 1972). Roger Planchon transposed many works by Brecht, Molière, Shakespeare, and many works of contemporary authors, including Arthur Adamov and Michel Vinaver, but also opened the Théâtre National Populaire to Patrice Chéreau, then Georges Lavaudant. As films, he directed George Dandin ou le Mari confondu by Molière, Louis, enfant roi, which was entered at Cannes, and another one by Lautrec. In 2002, Christian Schiaretti succeeded him as director of the TNP; he created his own company with which he continued to write and direct until his death. Joan Hickson

Joan Bogle Hickson, OBE (5 August 1906 – 17 October 1998) was an English actress of theatre, film and television. She was known for her role as Agatha Christie's Miss Marple in the television series Miss Marple. As well as portraying Miss Marple on television, Hickson also narrated a number of Miss Marple stories on audio books. Born in Kingsthorpe, Northampton, Hickson was a daughter of Edith Mary (née Bogle) and Alfred Harold Hickson, a shoe manufacturer. Boarding at Oldfield School at Swanage in Dorset she went on to train at RADA in London. Making her stage debut in 1927, she worked for several years throughout the United Kingdom and achieved success playing comedic, often eccentric characters in London's West End, including the role of the cockney maid Ida in the original production of See How They Run, at the Q Theatre in 1944, and then at the Comedy Theatre in January 1945. She made her first film appearance in 1934. The numerous supporting roles of her career included several Carry On films including Sister in Carry On Nurse and Mrs May in Carry On Constable.
