Each episode features two A-list celebrities like you've never seen them before - syncing their hearts out in hysterically epic performances. Hosted by LL Cool J with colorful commentary by social media maven and supermodel co-host, Chrissy Teigen. The mic is off, the battle is on!

The first edition of the Azerbaijani version of the internationally licensed show "Mask", which is broadcast in more than 50 countries, was shown on Public Television. There are 12 masks in the program and behind each of them some Azerbaijani celebrity is hidden: "Participants come together on the principle of confrontation. Voting determines who stays in the show and who unmasks. The masks are so secret that even the family members do not know about their participation in this show."

The WB's Superstar USA is a television show which spoofed the popular show American Idol. Essentially that show's polar opposite, Superstar USA told contestants they were looking for the best singer when they were actually looking for the worst. Hosted by Brian McFayden, people first audition before three judges in four cities across the United States. Finalists were chosen based on the lie that they were the most likely to be able to parlay their win into a successful recording contact based on talent. However, the audition process was the opposite of American Idol as good singers were mocked and told no while bad singers were given gushing praise and passed to the next round. Said finalists were subjected to makeovers where they were encouraged to emulate pop stars. Contestants would then be falsely encouraged and praised by the judges as well as the stylists, choreographers and vocal coaches; in particular, they would be encouraged to try and stretch their vocal range far beyond what they could actually reach. Contestants with charistmatic personalities, such as the singer/songwriter pro-cheerleader Nina "Diva", were heavily encouraged to follow all of the producer driven directives.

P. Diddy's Starmaker is an American interactive talent show that first aired on MTV in August 2009. It is currently presented by Kimberly Caldwell, with P. Diddy, Rodney Jerkins, Tamara Conniff and Laurie Ann Gibson as judges.

Nashville Star is an American reality television program. It was last produced and transmitted during mid-2008 on NBC, following five seasons on USA Network. It premiered on March 8, 2003, and its five seasons on USA made it the longest-running competition series on cable television. In Canada, the show aired on CMT through season 5, but moved to E! beginning with season 6. CMT in the United States reaired each episode in season 6. It was similar to American Idol, in that performers had to sing to impress both celebrity judges and the public via call-in and/or internet votes. Unlike American Idol, however, the performers were limited to country music. This restriction was relaxed for Season 6, allowing for the finalists to choose from many genres of music, but the songs were arranged to maintain a country sound. On March 13, 2009, it was confirmed that the series had been canceled by NBC and would not be returning for a seventh season.

Pop Idol is a British television music competition which ran on ITV from 2001 to 2003. Pop Idol was subsequently put on an indefinite hiatus after "Idol" judge Simon Cowell announced the launch of the The X Factor in the UK in April 2004. In the mean time a legal dispute arose with the makers of Popstars, which eventually led to the word "Pop" being excluded from the titles of all the spin-offs, such as American Idol, Australian Idol, Indonesian Idol, New Zealand Idol, Latin American Idol and Idols.
