Mrs. Brown's Boys is a British-Irish award winning sitcom created by and starring writer and performer Brendan O'Carroll. The show is based on O'Carroll's stage plays about the character Agnes Browne, which were developed from books and straight-to-DVD films. The sitcom continues the stories of Agnes, now with the shortened surname "Brown", and her family who are played by real life close friends and family of O'Carroll's. Broadcast live by NBC for seven episodes in the summer of 1954, the series stars real-life couple Hume Cronyn and Jessica Tandy as a New York lawyer and his wife with two children, played by Susan Strasberg and Malcolm Brodrick.

Los Beverly de Peralvillo is a Mexican family television sitcom that originally aired from 1968 to 1973 on the Canal de las Estrellas network. The series stars Guillermo Rivas, Leonorilda Ochoa, Arturo Castro, and Amparo Arozamena. As Mexico's answer to The Beverly Hillbillies, the sitcom was probably the most popular family television series in Mexico before El Chavo. The cast members, who usually had minor insignificant roles before, were offered principal roles in the series. The series spawned two theatrical releases, Los Beverly de Peralvillo and Que familia tan cotorra!. Both films featured the same series' cast.

Rita Rocks is a Lifetime original sitcom that ran from October 20, 2008 to December 7, 2009. It is the network's first original comedy in over a decade. The series debuted alongside re-runs of Reba as part of a new comedy hour for Tuesday nights, which later changed to Monday nights. The show stars Nicole Sullivan as Rita, Tisha Campbell-Martin, Richard Ruccolo, Raviv Ullman, and Kelly Gould. On January 11, 2010, Lifetime cancelled the series after two seasons due to low ratings.
