Piang, an ordinary girl, who was born with a sixth sense that makes her able to see any spirit, gets an urgent mission to take care of her aunt’s mansion. However, something scares her, and she faints before even reaching the room. She thinks she saw a spirit, but actually, it was just a ghost show her ex-boyfriend, Guy, who was filming a woman who secretly fell for him from room no. 6, Belle, starred as the ghost. After Guy learns that Piang has such a talent, he then asks her to help him make the show and sell it to a TV channel. Mysterious things happen when Guy edits the files and finds out that Belle completely disappeared from the scene. He asks her to re-shoot and Belle is more than happy to help; that's the first time he finds he cannot see Belle in the mirror!

The show begins shortly after his valedictorian speech, when his world comes crashing down after his first book is rejected by his literary agent. His life becomes worse as his arch-nemesis becomes a published author who appears in "Vancouver Magazine's" top 10 writers list. He becomes a recluse who constantly wears his graduation robe and plays video games all day. However, he quickly recovers by writing a vicious 'letter to the editor' to Vancouver Magazine where he decries the selection of his arch-nemesis as a top 10 writer. This letter angers so many readers of the magazine that they offer him a job as an anonymous "Hate Male" article writer. He lives in downtown Vancouver in a flat with several friends. Emily Hampshire plays a recent law school graduate named Iona Goldenthal, a binge drinker who must deal with the chauvinistic world of law. Rainbow Sun Francks plays a recent graduate named Barnaby Sharpe who majored in economics and Russian literature. Jon Benjamin and David Cross, and features amateur actors from Central Casting. The pilot episode of Paid Programming premiered, unannounced, in the United States on November 3, 2009, and was then re-aired every Tuesday-Friday until December 4, 2009.
Brimstone is a short-lived Fox television series, featuring a dead police detective whose mission is to return to Hell 113 spirits who have escaped to Earth. The series ran for only one partial season. Since cancellation, Brimstone reruns have aired on Syfy in the United States from the summer of 1999 onward. The reruns have no set schedule, but are usually aired in marathons during the channel's seasonal events like "Creatureland", "Inhumanland" and "the 31 Days of Halloween". Urban Gothic was a horror based series of short stories shown on Channel 5 running for two series between May 2000 and December 2001.
