The Clock is a 30-minute American anthology television series based upon the American Broadcasting Company radio series which ran from 1946–48. The half-hour series mostly consisted of original dramas concerning murder, mayhem or insanity. Series narrator Larry Semon was the only regular; each week a new set of guest stars were featured. The title of the series was derived from a clock which was a major plot element in each story. The show's musical theme was "The Sands of Time". Gulf Playhouse is an NBC anthology series that aired on Friday nights. It was a live show that was seen through the "eye" of the camera. The actors in each episode would talk to the camera as if it were a person. The show's sponsor was Gulf Oil, and it was produced and directed by Frank Telford.

Deadline is a 1959-1961 American television drama series that re-enacted famous newspaper stories from the past. Hosted and narrated by Paul Stewart, the syndicated series was produced by Arnold Perl. Guest stars included Peter Falk, Diane Ladd, Robert Lansing, and George Maharis. Thirty-nine 30-minute episodes were produced.

A sake brewery of long standing in Kanazawa is deep in the red. The owner’s only son Sagara Shuichi, an elite banker, resigns from the bank because of something that came up, and decides to stake his life on making sake. Grasping at straws, he clings to the legendary master brewer, Washio Yusaku. However, Yusaku is the man feared as an ogre. Will the sake brewery be turned around when the drops of liquid of their quest flow?

The Dick Powell Show is an American anthology series that ran on NBC from 1961- 1963, primarily sponsored by the Reynolds Metals Company. It was hosted by longtime film star Dick Powell until his death from lymphatic cancer on January 2, 1963, then by a series of guest hosts until the series ended. The first of these was Gregory Peck, who began the January 8 program with a tribute to Powell, recognizing him as "a great and good friend to our industry." Peck was followed by fellow actors such as Robert Mitchum, Frank Sinatra, Glenn Ford, Charles Boyer, Jackie Cooper, Rock Hudson, Milton Berle, Jack Lemmon, Dean Martin, Robert Taylor, Steve McQueen, David Niven, Danny Thomas, Robert Wagner and John Wayne.
