Known as "android-holics", such people have become a social problem. Rikuo, a high school student, has been taught from childhood that androids are not to be viewed as humans, and has always used them as convenient tools. One day, Rikuo discovers some strange data in the behavior records of his family's household android, Sammy. Rikuo and his friend Masaki trace Sammy's movements, only to discover a mysterious café that features a house rule that "humans and robots are to be treated the same".

Calvin works at his family-owned flower shop (called Best Buds), the “crown jewel of the local strip mall.” When his best friend, Evelyn, comes back to town after dropping out of grad school, he gets her a job at the shop and they begin a mission to bring the place out of the 1980s and into the present.

In a world where giant robots are built and used for labor, a special police force of robots is created to handle crimes relating to these machines.

In this spin-off of the Saturday Night Live TV Funhouse cartoons, happy-go-lucky Doug hosts a children's show in the vein of Pee-wee's Playhouse, wherein he chooses a theme for the day (Caveman Day, Western Day, Spaceman Day, Mexicans Day, etc.) and encourages his puppet friends, the Anipals, to participate. Far Out Space Nuts is a Sid and Marty Krofft children's television series that aired in 1975 for one season, and produced 15 episodes. It was one of only two Krofft series produced exclusively for CBS. Like most children's television shows of the era, Far Out Space Nuts contained a laugh track. Like most of the Kroffts' productions, the show's opening sequence provides the setup of its fanciful premise: While loading food into various compartments to prepare a rocket for an upcoming mission, Barney instructs Junior to hit the "lunch" button, but Junior mistakenly hits the "launch" button. The rocket blasts off and takes them on various misadventures on alien planets. The show starred Bob Denver as Junior, a seemingly dim-witted but uniquely clever maintenance worker employed by NASA, and Chuck McCann as Barney, his grumpy, short-tempered co-worker. Patty Maloney played Honk, their furry friend who made horn sounds instead of speaking.

The space family Robinson is sent on a five-year mission to find a new planet to colonise. The voyage is sabotaged time and again by an inept stowaway, Dr. Zachary Smith. The family's spaceship, Jupiter II, also carries a friendly robot who endures an endless stream of abuse from Dr. Smith, but is a trusted companion of young Will Robinson
