Kagawa Makoto has transferred to Tokyo’s Omotesando High School from Kagawa Prefecture. Devoted to the choir when she was in Kagawa, Makoto is active in Omotesando High School’s choir too. The school choir’s prestige and the fact that Suzuki Yuake, the teacher who had once taught her the joy of singing in a choir is its adviser, fills her with anticipation. However, the choir’s glory is a thing of the past. Now it is on the verge of being disbanded. Makoto remembers Suzuki as someone full of motivation with a love of the choir and a princely appearance. But the person she meets again is dissipated and only has interest in hostess bars. Despite her shock to see the change in Suzuki, Makoto makes up her mind to make over the choir.

Student Bodies is a syndicated television comedy program that was produced in Montreal, Quebec, Canada from 1997 to the end of 1999. While a live-action series, animations are used throughout as thoughts and imaginations. The segments are usually dark and comical. Though the show enjoyed much bigger success in Canada, the show was originally made for the American market under the distribution of 20th Television and aired on many Fox affiliated stations for one year. The show aired in Canada on Global and YTV. It has been called "an imitation of Saved by the Bell" by critics, and featured an ensemble cast of high school students at Thomas A. Edison High School.

Teachers Only is an NBC television sitcom centered around the faculty of a high school; in the first season the school was Millard Fillmore High in Los Angeles, but in the second it is Woodrow Wilson High in New York with a changed cast. The Most Popular Girls in School (abbreviated MPGIS) is an American stop-motion animated comedy web series that debuted on YouTube on May 1, 2012. Created by Mark Cope and Carlo Moss, the series animates Barbie, Ken and other fashion dolls, usually with customized costumes and hairstyles, as various characters. MPGIS follows the exploits of a fictional high school cheerleading team in Overland Park, Kansas and their friends, family and enemies. Variety described the series as "Mean Girls meets South Park".
