The preview looked interesting so I decided to give it a go. Plus, I've only watched one other Thai show that wasn't LGBTQ and I've been wanting to watch more non-LGBTQ Thai shows, as well. The basic premise of the show is that the main character, Peera, is a cop investigating a serial killer in 1985. He tracks the killer to a tunnel and when he exits said tunnel, he finds himself in the future - 2018 to be exact. Naturally, he doesn't realize this fact at first and it takes some time for him to get his bearings. I will say that, at least for me, this show is very predictable. Every single one of my predictions were correct which never happens and, let me tell you, it made me feel like a feckin' genius. Not sure if it was designed that way, if it's just because it's a 2019 show, or if I was just really in sync here. Even with it being predictable, though, it was a really good show with great characters. Korn is, of course, the best character in my opinion <3 Unfortunately, I have to address the elephant in the room: romance. Does it exist here? To an extent, yes. At first, I was frustrated because I hate romance - it usually ruins a show for me or at the very least it kills off my interest in said show. I mean, who the hell wants romance in their time-travelling serial killer crime show? Not me, that's for sure. It's not super in your face, though, and the romance isn't the main course. It's more like... the baked potato you get with your steak - a side dish to the main plot. I also don't like female characters and the female lead here, Danika, rubbed me the wrong way at first. I really didn't like her and I was dreading seeing more of her as the show progressed. But she grew on me, maybe because of the plot reveals later on or maybe because I decided to give her a chance. The ending was so great and I won't lie, I almost cried but Peera had my back, delivering funny lines that I couldn't help smiling at. I'm giving bonus points for adding one of my favorite tropes - the infamous "someone murders someone at a rest stop but then a freak storm hits and everyone is trapped there while suspecting everyone." It's truly chef's kiss. Another bonus point because the logo looks cool - the second N in Tunnel is backwards and it looks nice. TL;DR - It's predictable but a really great show and definitely worth the watch if you don't mind subtitles.
