Overview

Ted Lasso is an American sitcom series developed by Bill Lawrence, Jason Sudeikis, Joe Kelly, and Brendan Hunt for Apple TV+.

The TV-show tells about Ted Lasso is the US Undergraduate American Football League team coach invited to coach the English Premier League football team. It is already considered fiction, but it is still a movie, moreover, a comedy. Why the club owners need Ted Lasso, it will become clear already at the end of the first episode. Ted Lasso gets down to business without even knowing the basic rules of football. But incredible optimism, the ability to motivate and guide them, helps Lasso gain credibility with players, journalists, and even fans.

From the beginning, Ted Lasso's cheerfulness and his ability to see only the bright side in any situation are annoying. The TV-show vaunted absolute American optimism. Ted Lasso seems like a ridiculous fool who can be blamed for all the club's problems. Still, incredible optimism will help you fall in love with Ted Lasso, his friend Coach Beard, the showy owner of AFC Richmond Rebecca, the frivolous Keeley, the shy "kit man" Nathan, the cowardly Higgins, the brutal Roy Kent, and even the selfish Jamie Tartt.

An amazingly original, funny and lively show. A great cast with visible chemistry. The show will have you laughing and leave you feeling like you’ve had a really good hug after each episode. Unique in modern times.

I started watching this show as someone who doesn't care at all about football (soccer) and had no expectations for the series. Season 1 starts off slow and the Ted Lasso character is a bit annoying at first, but about halfway through the first season it all really started to click for me and season 2 was just fantastic. Another reviewer talked about the chemistry among the show's cast and I completely agree. I felt like they build the side characters well and a nice amount of the showtime focuses on them. Season 2 also gave me quite a few more chuckles. Overall, a great original series from Apple+ and definitely recommended from me.
