Zulu Comedy Festival: De håndplukkede
Carsten Eskelund - Begrænset Udsyn
In spring 2016, Christian Fuhlendorff is ready with a new one-man show, “It doesn't matter what others think, right?”, which this time emphasizes fun over an actual theme. But then again, maybe the theme is that it just has to be hilarious!
Sometimes you have to look back before you can look forward. And that's what Niels Nielsen does in this stand-up special. He has gone through his entire back catalog, all the way back from when he first stood on a stand-up stage at the age of 18, to today where he, at the age of 27, is looking forward to doing his first big one man show next year. In this special, Niels has put together a veritable POTPOURRI of jokes and highlights from his life so far in the world of comedy. Other than that, is there any real theme to the special? Nope! Not apart from the fact that we should all just laugh and enjoy ourselves from start to finish. But you can't complain about that as such. After all, it's a comedy special! The special was recorded at ICC Theater in Copenhagen on 19/10-2024 during this year's UP Festival in front of 45 happy people.
The latest stand-up from Denmark's biggest comedian. "Anden paa coke?" toured the country in 2006 and was seen live by over 100,000 people. Anden takes the stand-up comedy genre to a level never before seen in Denmark. There are backdrops, there is scenography, there is multimedia, but at its core, it is still just stand-up comedy at its very best!
Talegaver Til Børn celebrated its 15th anniversary in December 2007 with three sold-out shows at Forum. The FBI's annual charity show was produced in collaboration with Unicef. For 15 years, between Christmas and New Year's Eve, people have been able to laugh for a good cause in the company of the country's best stand-up comedians, and the 2007 shows definitely lived up to the success of previous years.

Niels Hausgaard: Med hudfarvet hud
In the Warberg comedy tour '16, Thomas focused on how we treat each other - a topic that has preoccupied and sometimes frustrated him to such an extent that it became a show. Warberg is one of Denmark's most prolific comedians and is loved for his sharp one-liners. The audience was able to experience a whole new side of the popular gentleman as he entertained with some slightly longer jokes than we are used to from his hand. Of course, still served at the same fast pace that characterizes his style.
Niels Nørkjær - Det Ene Ord Tager Det Andet
Welcome to the disappearing little world of Anders Grau. There are limits to how much can happen when any thought or event can grow to fill your entire head. But in the tiny stories there are huge adventures hiding.
Mads de Krak has been doing stand-up for 9 years, and right now he enjoys it more than ever, which is why he's decided to take the comedy scene seriously and spread his craziness further than ever before. Standup comedy is a somewhat different career choice, it's not universally accepted and it can be difficult to defend in some contexts. But if it's what you're really passionate about, can't you do it and still be successful? Mads de Krak intends to answer this question in his latest comedy show: “Madsers of success?”. The big question is, can Mads achieve “Madsere of success?” when he turns topics from big to small in his show and shares his crazy observations and peculiar everyday problems. Throughout the show, Mads brings up several different themes that don't necessarily have a common denominator other than jokes and laughter as the main goal.
Niels Hausgaard: Live med mer
Niels Hausgaard: Kun Ydre Ting
Denmark's Stokkefar is now ready with his third and funniest one-man show to date. This also marks the end of the trilogy, which tells the story of one of the country's most popular, beloved and award-winning comedians. (Did he write this himself?...shut up!).
It's been over two years since we last spoke, and boy has a lot happened! The pandemic is over, Europe is at war and Thomas has been diagnosed with high cholesterol. Not only that, but he also has involuntary urination, has started watching reality TV, has been to Noma, got a new bathroom, and he's starting to think that maybe he's halfway through life, and has everything really turned out as it should? What's the point! Is he the best version of himself? Is society?!!! SHOULD EVERYTHING REALLY BE SO MUCH BETTER?!?!? OH MY GOD!!! Wait!!! Isn't it better that we just get together and have a laugh about it all? And oh yeah... I guess he's a father too.
Michael Schøt takes his razor-sharp political satire and pointed punchlines out onto the Danish country roads, where he asks the question: Democracy or Demoncracy?
Frank Hvam has lived in New Zealand with his family for an extended period. What is it like to go from being respected and recognized in Denmark to being ‘Nobody’ in New Zealand - and not least coming home again? Watch the classic stand-up show with Frank Hvam as we know him: straightforward and a little too honest. Recorded on a small, cozy stage in Amager in front of 70 audience members.
In 1998 at Sct. Jørgens Skole in Næstved, the then 14-year-old Heino Hansen wrote a Danish essay that had his class in stitches. The otherwise shy and anonymous Heino became the funniest kid in the class from then on, and Heino Hansen was born! In Heino's first comedy show, you're taken back to the day he realized he was funny.
Everything will be turned up when Simon goes on tour with his latest show ‘EXTRA EXTRA’ in spring 2025 and for the next several months. A show that takes your breath away, like a well-placed jiu-jitsu chokehold, with equal parts reflections on the extravagant moments of his career and the brutal constraints of everyday life. From private jets in the US to reflux in Solrød. From kimchi to potato chips. From (finally) becoming a father in a tornado of poor sperm quality and fertility treatments, to losing his own Irish father in a cloud of tobacco smoke and lukewarm Guinness. The atmosphere in Simon's ‘ad libitum’ bar is fun, honest and generous - do you want an EXTRA? Or as Simon puts it: “It's going to be grand, spectacular, sensational, pompous and yes... EXTRA EXTRA!”
