The 2023 SummerSlam is the upcoming 36th annual SummerSlam professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) and livestreaming event produced by WWE. It will be held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan, returning the event to its traditional August slot after the previous year's event was held in July. This will also be the first SummerSlam to be livestreamed on Binge in Australia. This also marks WWE's first event to be held at Ford Field since WrestleMania 23 in April 2007, and the first SummerSlam to be held in Michigan since 1993.

It will be held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. The event will take place on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico, marking the first WWE event held in Puerto Rico since New Year's Revolution in 2005, and only the second event overall. After the previous two years were titled "WrestleMania Backlash", the 2023 event reverted to its original name, but maintained its post-WrestleMania concept, with the 2023 event based around the backlash from WrestleMania 39. Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny will serve as the host of the event.

This will be the 10th Night of Champions event, the first since the 2015 event, and the first to live stream on Peacock. The event will be held for wrestlers from the promotion's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions and will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at the Jeddah Super Dome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It will be the ninth event that WWE will hold in Saudi Arabia under a 10-year partnership supporting Saudi Vision 2030. Originally known as the King and Queen of the Ring as its 12th event since 2002, the WWE renamed the event on April 13, 2023, to coincide with the 1,000-day reign of Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
