World Extreme Cagefighting returned to The Palace Indian Gaming Center in Lemoore, California for the ninth installment of promoters Scott Adams' and Reed Harris' emerging event. With a few big name guys and a packed stable of home grown talent, the WEC has started to make a push towards the top of the pack when it comes to regional events.

UFC 96: Jackson vs. Jardine a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). It was held in Columbus, Ohio on March 7, 2009 at Nationwide Arena. The card was headlined by a Light Heavyweight bout between Quinton Jackson and Keith Jardine. Following the main event, Rashad Evans, training partner of Jardine and then-Light Heavyweight Champion, entered the cage and publicly challenged Jackson. It resulted in a long-standing feud between the two that would not be settled until 2010.

WEC 39: Brown vs. Garcia Took place on March 1, 2009 in Corpus Christi, Texas. The event aired live on the Versus Network.WEC Featherweight Champion Mike Brown made his first title defense against number one contender Leonard Garcia.

UFC Fight Night 18: Condit vs. Kampmann was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) on April 1, 2009. The event was broadcast on Spike TV, as a prelude to the premiere of The Ultimate Fighter: United States vs. United Kingdom. The main event featured the debut of former WEC Welterweight Champion Carlos Condit – riding an eight fight win streak – in the main event against Martin Kampmann.

On Saturday, March 6, 2010, WEC heads to Columbus, Ohio with a stacked card headlined by a world bantamweight title fight between champion Brian Bowles and number one contender Dominick Cruz. What’s more, WEC’s first trip to Columbus features the return of former bantamweight champion Miguel Angel Torres, as well as the comeback of former UFC® lightweight titleholder Jens Pulver.

The third night of G1 Climax 24 took place on July 25, 2014, at the Yamagata City General Sports Center in Yamagata, Japan, and was headlined by a Block B match between Kazuchika Okada and Togi Makabe.

UFC 112: Invincible was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on April 10, 2010, on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The main event was for the Middleweight Championship, as Anderson Silva fought Demian Maia.

UFC 102: Couture vs. Nogueira was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) on August 29, 2009 at the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon. It featured former UFC Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight champion, Randy Couture, facing off against former PRIDE Heavyweight champion and former UFC Interim Heavyweight champion, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.

WEC 40: Torres vs. Mizugaki was a mixed martial arts event held by World Extreme Cagefighting on April 5, 2009 at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, Illinois. The event aired live on the Versus Network.

DREAM "Fight for Japan" was an unnumbered event which took place on the 29th May 2011 to help raise funds for the disasters in Japan at the time. The fighters reportedly gave their fight purses to assist with aid for the country.It was the progression of the Bantamweight tournament which culminated at the next event which was Dream 17.

UFC 220: Miocic vs. Ngannou is a mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship held on January 20, 2018 at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

UFC on Fox 27: Jacaré vs. Brunson 2 was a mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship held on January 27, 2018, at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. A middleweight rematch between former Strikeforce Middleweight Champion Ronaldo Souza and Derek Brunson served as the event headliner. The pairing met previously in August 2012 under the Strikeforce banner with Souza winning the fight via knockout in the first round.

UFC Fight Night 25: Shields vs. Ellenberger was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on September 17, 2011 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Manny Pacquiao, widely considered the world's best pound-for-pound fighter, is defending his WBO welterweight championship against "Sugar" Shane Mosley on Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The fight marks Pacquiao's second defense of the 147-pound title he won from Miguel Cotto in 2009. The first came against Josh Clottey in March 2010, after which Pacquiao moved up and beat Antonio Margarito for a vacant super welterweight title last November. That victory made Pacquiao the first boxer to capture world championships in eight different weight classes (from 112 to 154).

Over the Limit (2011) was a PPV, which took place on May 22, 2011 at the KeyArena in Seattle, Washington. It was the second Over the Limit event. The main event was an I Quit match for the WWE Championship between defending champion John Cena and The Miz. In the second main event Randy Orton defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Christian. In a heavily promoted match Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole faced off in a "Kiss My Foot" match. Big Show and Kane defended the Tag Team Championship against The New Nexus (CM Punk and Mason Ryan). Other matches include Sin Cara vs Chavo, Mysterio vs R-Truth, and Ezekiel Jackson vs Wade Barrett.
