The legendary figure of Godzilla was first confirmed at the beginning of the Meiji era when a typhoon hit Awaji Island. Godzilla, who appeared among the high waves, roamed the island, leaving tremendous damage in its wake.

Edyth Fellows is a nurse recruited for an research project with a time travel device that can snatch any being from any time and bring it to the present. The first such test brings an Neanderthal child to the project and Fellows is responsible for his care for the interim. As she manages this task, Fellows is increasingly revolted at how the scientists dismiss him as little more than an animal, especially when his real intelligence shows. This growing moral dilemma comes to a head when Fellows realizes what they plan to do with him and she cannot stand by and let it happen.

Light Up the Night is an analog science-fiction short film set in an Orwellian, futuristic 1980s. The story tells the tensions flaring between rebellious citizens and robotic law enforcement. We are introduced to two dissidents as they take aim at the city's looming, panoptic control tower, while local band The Protomen take the stage amidst the action, inciting unrest as they narrate the struggle.

In the "1999 House of Tomorrow", each family member's activities are enabled by a central computer and revolve around products remarkably similar to those made by the sponsor. Power comes from a self-contained fuel cell which supports environmental controls, an automatic cooking system, and a computer-assisted "education room".

A world where everyone lives in their work stations. Eat canned liquid food provided by a distributor. Workers which are only numbers, with alienating and incomprehensible tasks that earn them points, that might conquer them a better life. A first visit to South Africa seems to invite observation of the extremes or of folklore in society, but Tan Chui Mui initially chose a very different road. She intended to make a short science fiction film and not to focus on the occasionally grim reality of today's South Africa. With the help of local film makers, she set off in Durban looking for suitable locations and four actors who wanted to work on her film (preferably for free). With the locations, she also found her story. She used the futuristic architecture of the football stadium being built - designed by the German bureau GMP Architects - not only as background for her film No Woman Born, but she also turned the anonymous labourers into characters in her film. Tan discovered the talents of the Zulu actor and singer Muzi Mhlanga, who developed during the shooting into a very special man of the future.

Project Prometheus: Mission is a 2012 short film. Created as part of the viral marketing campaign for Prometheus and to promote the interactive Project Prometheus Training Center on the film's official website, the short features Weyland Corp employee Andrea Bishop (a character who does not appear in Prometheus itself) discussing the Prometheus mission and its goals. Project Prometheus: Mission was the final Prometheus short film to be released before the movie.

Weyland Industries Testimonial is a 2012 short film. Created to promote the Prometheus stand at San Diego Comic-Con 2012, the film features Weyland Corp employee Jamie Rossi (a character who does not appear in Prometheus itself) talking about her time working for the company, including her work on revolutionary nanotechnologies.

Weight is a post-apocalyptic short film covering the year long journey of a drifter, Adam, surviving after the collapse of society in the United Kingdom. He stays alive by following instructions left to him by his father who raised him during the collapse.
