Stairway to Heaven: A Very Literal Music Video

These are live performances from a television music show that aired late night on the NBC-TV network the U.S., from 1973-1981.

Although Gainsbourg and Birkin had appeared in a string of films since their magnetic collision in Pierre Grimblat’s Slogan, Melody was a bit of diversion from their collaborations since it’s a series of interwoven videos inspired by the Gainsbourgalbum. For '71 it’s a novel concept to bring visual life to an LP, but even more surprising are the short film’s amazing visuals that director Averty crafted using a wealth of video filters, overlays, camera movements and chroma key effects. Averty applies these in tandem with the increasing tone of Gainsbourg’s songs, which more or less chronicle an older man's affair with a young girl. Each song is comprised of steady, sometimes brooding poetic delivery, with refrains timed to the phrase repeats of each song, while Alan Parker’s buzzing guitar accompanies and wiggles around Gainsbourg’s resonant voice. The bass is fat and groovy, the drums easy but steady, and the periodic use of strings or rich vibrato makes this short a sultry little gem.

Scenes from the Big Chair is a documentary film about the British pop band Tears For Fears. Released on home video in 1985, the 75 minute documentary was made at the height of the band's global success following the release of their multi-platinum selling album Songs from the Big Chair. It also contains the 90 minute "Going To California" concert which was recorded in Santa Barbara during the band's "Seeds Of Love" world tour in 1990.

As they start wondering whether the old woman is asleep or dead, it becomes more obscure whether they are concerned about or waiting for the death. Five songs drift away while the contemplation for the death. This is a film, as well as a new album of musician, Yozoh.

Live Eighties

A total of 23 songs including "Yankee Roses" from the video game Rumble Roses. DVD also include special screensavers, in-game movies, and special music videos!

The Rumble Roses XX Original Soundtrack is based on Konami's Xbox360 video game release and features a complete selection of all character introduction songs found in the video game and includes a Bonus DVD with all entrance videos.

The Complete Jam serves up a staggering 49 performances, divided between 16 promotional videos (previously available on the |Video Snap VHS collection), a seven-song excerpt from a 1980 live show, and a staggering 26 more drawn from the best of the band's television performances, ranging from their U.K. debut on Marc Bolan's fondly remembered Marc through to their nine-song farewell performance on The Tube. A couple of entertaining interviews, a photo gallery, and a short (and, sadly, very poorly narrated) documentary on the band's history complete the portrait.

"Let Sleeping Corpses Lie" is a career-spanning five-disc box-set of the band White Zombie. The set contains a remaster of every album and E.P. released officially by White Zombie from 1985 to 1996, including six non-album songs, on four CDs and a DVD containing all nine of the band's music videos along with ten live performances.

This show was filmed for the famous German TV series Rockpalast in MIDEM in Cannes on 29th January 1986. Pete Townshend's Deep End were touring in support of Townshend's solo concept album "White City: A Novel". Several of the musicians that appeared on the album were featured in the line-up of the Deep End including Pink Floyd's David Gilmour on lead guitar. The set list has tracks from the "White City" album, other Pete Townshend solo tracks, Who classics, David Gilmour's song "Blue Light" and a couple of surprises. Pete Townshend and the band deliver an outstanding performance that showcases him as a solo artist as distinct from his work with The Who.
