Lurking amid the flowers and lights of the city of Paris is a revue that unfolds on a stage below the city streets that is at once both provocative and captivating. Flower Troupe, a unique group led by Asumi Rio and her ability to amaze and mesmerize audiences with the variegated forms she takes on with each performance, hits the stage to present sophisticated brilliance, sensual beauty, along with hope of finding the light in the darkness.

Takarazuka Snow Troupe production based on the manga by Ikeda Riyoko

To mark the fiftieth anniversary of its premiere, it will return to the stage of the Takarazuka Grand Theater in 2024 for the first time in ten years. This story, a foundational work of shojo manga that continues to be loved by many people across ages and borders, is set in France during the raging revolution, depicting the forbidden love of two couples. The Takarazuka Revue has staged various versions of The Rose of Versailles over the years. In this version that focuses on Fersen, we present the splendid world of The Rose of Versailles in a glorious celebration of its fiftieth anniversary.

This "drama in verse" is based on the ancient Japanese myth of Susano-o and the many-headed serpent Yamata-no-Orochi.

Set against the background of the Spanish Civil War, the plot centers on socialist playwright Katherine McGregor and renowned photographer Georges Malraux, a Polish Jew who fled his homeland for Paris. The two first meet in Hollywood at a party announcing the film adaptation of Katherine's play Tempest in Spain, based on the opera Carmen. The two are reunited in Barcelona, where they unexpectedly find themselves falling in love as they become embroiled in a battle against fascism.

Hailey Hartz was born to a normal family, led a normal college-student life and now works at a normal job. This normal guy created a normal family and thus has the kind of good fortune that anyone would be envious of. Nothing is unsatisfactory about his life, we would expect. But even so, Hailey believes something to change his day-to-day routine awaits him at some point down the line. One day, on his daily commute, he looks up from a train station platform to discover a ballroom dance studio. As he stares at a beautiful woman standing in the studio's window, a vague notion comes to him: What if he were to muster up a bit of courage and march right toward the door? Would his fortunes see a massive change? Piqued by this thought, and after much inner debate, Hailey sets foot inside the dance studio.
