Rome 1498. The Borgia family is prosperous due to the great power of Pope Alessandro VI, who is both patriarch of the Borgia family and the the head of the Church. Cesare, the first son, decides to follow his ambition and relinquish his position of Cardinal, second only in power to the Pope. This bold choice is one which is to change his life.

The man known as Silver fights with demons from his past without knowning what they are. He lost his memory during some traumatic event, and was taken in by Ray. He now works with Ray to kill corrupt politicians and other powerful men. However, he has a very nihilistic outlook, believing he has nothing to live for, no matter how much Ray argues with him.

To mark the fiftieth anniversary of its premiere, it will return to the stage of the Takarazuka Grand Theater in 2024 for the first time in ten years. This story, a foundational work of shojo manga that continues to be loved by many people across ages and borders, is set in France during the raging revolution, depicting the forbidden love of two couples. The Takarazuka Revue has staged various versions of The Rose of Versailles over the years. In this version that focuses on Fersen, we present the splendid world of The Rose of Versailles in a glorious celebration of its fiftieth anniversary.
