EPHEMERAL LOVE: Austria, 1888. Crown Prince Rudolf is bored with the ostentatious royal life in the Austrian court. During a performance of “Hamlet,” Rudolf meets Marie Vetsera, the daughter of Baron Vetsera, the wealthiest man in Vienna. Marie is instantly infatuated with the prince, and they continue meeting in secret. When the emperor learns that Rudolf has petitioned the Pope for a divorce from Princess Stephanie, he flies into a rage and orders Rudolf and Marie to part. Rudolf feels he must make a choice: the throne, or Marie. Set in the 1920s, Nice Work If You Can Get It is the story of charming and wealthy playboy Jimmy Winter, who meets rough female bootlegger Billie Bendix the weekend of his wedding. Jimmy, who has been married three (or is it four?) times before, is preparing to marry Eileen Evergreen, a self-obsessed modern dancer. Thinking Jimmy and Eileen will be out of town, Billie and her gang hide cases of alcohol the basement of Jimmy’s Long Island mansion. But when Jimmy, his wife-to-be and her prohibitionist family show up at the mansion for the wedding, Billie and her cohorts pose as servants, causing hijinks galore.

The time: the 1920s. The place: New York City. The Lower East Side, on the southeast corner of Manhattan Island, is home to a great many Jewish immigrants who came to the United States, beginning in the late 19th century, from a Russia ravaged by political turmoil and an eastern Europe where they had experienced tremendous poverty. Despite the American dream that anyone can achieve success, for the Jewish immigrants in the Lower East Side this dream is difficult to make a reality. David “Noodles” Aaronson is born into this Jewish enclave, and from a very young age gets his hands dirty in the seedy underbelly of society. Along with his trusted companions Max, Cockeye, Patsy, and Dominic, Noodles lays down roots in the criminal underworld...

Count Maximilian of Moor has two very different sons, Karl and Franz. Karl is the elder son, and the count's favourite. In comparison, Franz is described as ugly, and he was neglected during his childhood. As the younger son, he has no claim of inheritance from his father. Franz spends his time in the play scheming to remove Karl as well as the count.

In the sixteenth century, at the Villa Medici in Rome, the nobles, ecclesiastics and artists invited to a banquet congratulate Giovanni de' Medici on his promised accession to the Holy See for the next term. Contessina, Giovanni's younger sister talks to Raphaello eminent for most beautifully portraying women. Knowing that he has come to Rome to see Michelangelo's Pieta`, she admiringly speaks of Michlangelo as a man of eternal burning passion.

Takarazuka Cosmos Troupe 2000 production of Utakata no Koi (Translated as Ephemeral Love, also known as Mayerling). Based on the true story of the the doomed love affair between the crown prince of Austria Rudolf and his young mistress, Marie Vetsera.

A Farce in Pigalle is a musical taking place in the year 1900 in the city of Paris, France. Where a young man comes to visit the Moulin Rouge. This man calls himself “Jacques Valette,” and begs to be allowed to work at this dreamlike place. With his arrival, the whole world of the Moulin Rouge is about to be turned on its head! The musical is followed by a Japan Traditional Revue titled "Welcome to Takarazuka." The theme for this revue show comes from the beauty of the four seasons in which the spirituality of the Japanese people is based on. Kabuki legend Bando Tamasaburo is a supervising director of this show, which marks his first collaboration with the Takarazuka Revue.

Takarazuka Cosmos Troupe 2019-2020. "El Japón -The Samurai of España-" In the town of Coria del Río in southern Spain, there are people who use the surname “Japón” to identify themselves as descendants of the samurai. What gave birth to this curious legend of Japanese samurai in a far-off land...? This lighthearted and pleasurable tale of heroism has as its protagonist a retainer of Sendai Domain, dispatched to Europe on a diplomatic mission, starkly portraying the emotions of the samurai and an encounter with another culture. "Aqua Vitae!! -The Water of Life-" A show built upon the theme of that most aromatic and mature of deep-flavored spirits: whiskey. Experience the many varied talents of the stylish and cool Makaze Suzuho and the other members of Cosmos Troupe, in a performance based on unique whiskey.

Since its premiere in Vienna in 1992, the musical "Elisabeth" has been performed all over the world. In Japan, "Elisabeth" was first performed by the Takarazuka Snow troupe in 1996, prior to the first performances in other countries. A total of 10 versions of the musical have been performed by different troupes, making it one of Takarazuka Revue's most popular musicals. The "Elisabeth TAKARAZUKA 25th Anniversary Special Gala Concert" was held in 2021 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Snow troupe's first performance.
