After concluding the now-legendary public access TV series, The Pain Factory, Michael Nine embarked on a new and more subversive public access endeavor: a collaboration with Scott Arford called Fuck TV. Whereas The Pain Factory predominantly revolved around experimental music performances, Fuck TV was a comprehensive and experiential audio-visual presentation. Aired to a passive and unsuspecting audience on San Francisco’s public access channel from 1997 to 1998, each episode of Fuck TV was dedicated to a specific topic, combining video collage and cut-up techniques set to a harsh electronic soundtrack. The resultant overload of processed imagery and visceral sound was unlike anything presented on television before or since. From the Caring About Our Community Series, produced by Gordon-Kerckhoff Productions. The film examines the presence and impact of sound in everyday life, from natural ambient sounds to the overwhelming barrage of artificial noise common in modern society. By drawing attention to the often unnoticed or ignored sounds around us, the film challenges viewers to reconsider their acoustic environment. Ultimately, it delivers a subtle but powerful critique of noise pollution, positioning it as a major yet overlooked environmental issue, and encourages greater awareness and responsibility in shaping a quieter, more mindful community.

DRIFT is a collaboration started in 1991 between visual artist Leah Singer and musician and poet Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth. DRIFT is an immersive sonic/visual environment consisting of music, sounds and texts by Ranaldo in response to two 16mm analytical film projectors performed in real time by Singer. Much as a DJ scratches a vinyl record, Singer manipulates her films in a live improvisation with Ranaldo's guitar, poetry and soundscapes.

Static Discharge is composed of abstractions created from signal interference. The picture frame is continuously disrupted, as textured lines of feedback distort any form of representation. The flickering movement appears as if fed by an electric current with a faulty conductor - the electronic waves seem to split and repeat themselves without fully transmitting. This is a composition of video noise that creates pulsating tension, a s electricity grinds with flesh, revealing the harsh beauty inherent in a mechanical medium.

A human-looking alien from a highly advanced but emotionless all-male society is sent to Earth to impregnate a woman and bring the child back to their planet. The alien ends up falling in love while a suspicious FAA agent tails him.
