C'est tout pour nous et vous

In the mid-1960s, Bretons took direct action against the French state. What were the origins and causes of this fervor, sung by Glenmor, the bard of this angry Brittany, from which young people had to emigrate to find a future?

A painter and his model. A couple. A gaze. A painting that captures a moment, an emotion. The Portrait of a Bird.

EMBRASEMENT

Les Monts d'Arrée are a land of struggle where poverty and the harshness of life have instilled principles of survival and resistance in the face of the elements

In a small town on the Celtic coast, an ancient legend haunts the lives of the inhabitants. Young men are disappearing at sea. Some see it as the work of the devil, others blame a sea creature from the ancient world. All the clues seem to lead back to the city of Ys. Léon and his friends decide to investigate, even if it means descending to the depths of the abyss.

Mael is fifteen when he meets Kevin, a childhood friend of his mother's, who has recently returned to Brest. But this encounter upsets Liza, who blames Kevin for the death of her twin brother, Lomig, at twenty. To protect her son, she will have to confront a past she has erased from her memory.

The bombings recently carried out by the Revolutionary Breton Army (ARB) have drawn attention to the political and cultural history of the Breton movement. The writer Roparz Hemon is one of its emblematic figures. He was born in Brest in 1900, and died in Dublin in 1978 after thirty years of voluntary exile in Ireland following his trial for collaboration at the end of the war. He had indeed organised the first Breton-language radio programmes under German control. The work of this poet, novelist, and translator of Shakespeare and Cervantes is dominated by the theme of the dream.
