Say It Again

In January 2009, the Korean historical fantasy/drama The Legend, featuring Bae Yong Joon, having been turned into a Takarazuka-style musical by playwright and director Koike Shuuichirou, was performed by Flower Troupe and attracted a lot of attention. The story takes place at the time when the protagonist became the king of Gouryeo, which existed on the Korean Peninsula from the era before Christ until the 7th century. It tells of a repeating fate and agonizing love that has lived on for thousands of years. This time, it will be brought to the stage in a new version by a new Star Troupe led by Yuzuki Reon.

Musical by the Takarazuka Revue. In modern day France, an exhibition is being held at the Palace of Versailles of the "Necklace of Marie Antoinette". The necklace had been used in a fraud case that marked a chapter in French history and later went missing. It has been reproduced using real diamonds. Fujiko has sneaked into Versailles, as has the gang of Lupin, Goemon, and Jigen - all with the intention of getting their hands on the necklace, which is valued at over 3 billion yen in today's money. But they bump into Inspector Zenigata. Lupin is the one who manages to foil Zenigata and grab the necklace. Yet the instant he lays hands on it, everyone is enveloped in a mysterious light. When they regain consciousness, they notice they have gone through a time slip to 1785, before the French Revolution when Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were around.

19th-century Paris. At a certain aristocrat's home, the theft of a necklace occurs. Because of this a maid and her son Raoul are turned out of the house; ten years later, he has become a prodigy at Sorbonne University and is popular around the city. The nanny who has been looking after him, Victoire, is an author; her novel The Gentleman Thief becomes a best-seller and the protagonist Arsène Lupin is loved as an idol by the people. But the book is prohibited from sale, and in order to save his aunt and to have his revenge on those responsible for the earlier incident, Raoul hits upon the idea of becoming Arsène Lupin. He once again meets Agnes, whom he served in the aristocrat's home, and together they realize their love for each other.

On Crescent Island, off the coast of England, a new archaeological site is being excavated: the Lunar Palace. The tycho of Uranus Net Company, Brian Keyes, is sponsoring a beauty contest on the island to choose "a companion for the moon prince", based on local legends. Rock star Alex is invited out to judge the contest. While there he stumbles upon a necklace on the site. The female archaeologist Eileen demands the return of an important artifact, and sparks fly between their two stubborn personalities. Meanwhile we learn that Brian Keyes is not what he seems — he is actually working on mind-control and genetic alterations with the help of his mad scientist. While fleeing from Brian, who wants Alex's genius DNA, Alex, Eileen and their friends stumble across a hidden chamber belonging to the ancient Lunar Palace. (Takawiki)

On the 10th anniversary of the assassination of the King, his reclusive widow, the Queen, arrives to spend the night at the castle of Krantz. Stanislas, a young anarchist poet who seeks to assassinate her, enters her room, wounded; he looks exactly like the dead king, and the Queen shelters him instead of handing him over to the police. She sees him as the welcome embodiment of her own death, calling him Azraël. An ambiguous love develops between them, uniting them in a bid to outwit the machinations of the court politicians, represented by the Comte de Foëhn, the chief of police, and Édith de Berg, the Queen's companion. In order to remain true to their ideals and to each other, the Queen and Stanislas have to play their parts in a bizarre private tragedy, which the world will never understand.

Daniel is a gigolo. His patron is a wealthy woman who supports his law studies at university. One day Daniel’s patron discovers that the young man has a girlfriend. The franchise centers on "Starlight," a dance and dance troupe beloved the world over. Karen and Hikari promised each other when they were little that one day they would perform together on that stage. Time passes and now they are both 16 years old. Karen is very excited about the dance lessons she takes every day, keeping her promise close to her heart. Hikari changed schools and now lives far away from Karen. But the gears of fate bring them together again, destined to meet again. The two, along with other hopefuls, will compete in a mysterious audition to become part of this great company.

In the face of executives insisting on selling UFA, producer Kaufmann, infused with the same spirit as President Klitzsch, declares that they will make a low-budget entertainment film that the public is sure to love. Foreseeing the end of the age of silent films, Theo suggests making a talking movie with singing. If Hollywood can do it, so can we here in Berlin! With the condition that he gets to choose his cast and staff, Theo promises Kaufmann that he will produce a low-budget movie that will entertain everyone and be a major hit.

At Montmartre, Paris in 1911, the cabaret Le Mirliton is tightly packed with an audience eager to hear Aristide Bruant sing. He is the proprietor of the cabaret and enjoys great popularity.

Yasujirou is the young heir to Kondaya, a money changing business in Osaka. One day, he wakes up to find himself in another world, in a flower garden in the purgatory between this life and the next. Realizing he is dead, he still harbors the love at first sight he felt upon espying a young woman whom he happened upon at Kozu Shrine, but whose identity is unknown to him.

Lupin, the phantom thief, is dead. At least that is what everyone believes. But rather, a certain incident will drag Lupin back from Hell after his assumed death. For he has been taken completely by surprise by being deceived through a trap called "love," in a string of incidents that began with a heist of 4 million pounds sterling of gold coins.

Asumi Rio's first dinner show

Takarazuka Revue Flower Troupe's 2023 adaptation is based on Mérimée's original work "Carmen". This story, set in Spain, depicts Don José, a military noncommissioned officer, who is fascinated by the free-spirited Carmen and falls in love with her.
