Before she turned two, Haize's father, Mikel Goikoetxea, a member of ETA nicknamed 'Txapela', was killed by the GAL. With no recollection of the man whatsoever, 25 years down the line she starts asking questions. Piecing together the testimonies of those who knew him, Haize gradually discovers her father and his time.

In the mid-1980s, the GAL, a Spanish paramilitary group, pursues and assassinates members of the terrorist gang ETA who have taken refuge in the sanctuary they have created in the south of France. Grégoire Fortin, advisor to the French Minister of Justice, and Domingo 'Txomin' Iturbe, leader of ETA, are forced to negotiate in order to find a solution to the violence that plagues the region.

The Agirre family, made up of Iñaki and Miren, and their children Aitor, Janire and Arene, is a wealthy family that enjoys a privileged position in Basque society. At the beginning of the story, a journalist interviews the perpetrator of the macabre murder of the owners of the well-known company “Talcos Agirre”. A call to the emergency services alerts the police to the event. The viewer is immersed in the intrigue surrounding the case until the identity of the murderer is revealed.
