This new production of Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen at the Bayreuth Festival was the opera event of the 2022 Festival summer. Young director Valentin Schwarz reimagines the mythical story in the present day and tells a gripping family saga in the world of the rich and powerful. The musical direction is in the hands of Cornelius Meister. In Das Rheingold, the antagonists Wotan and Alberich are hostile twin brothers and it is not the gold from the Rhine that is stolen at the outset, but a child, emphasizing the fact that dynasties are always overshadowed by the question of who will one day inherit power.

Francesco Cavalli's incandescent opera, where tragedy rubs shoulders with comedy, and burlesque alternates with deep emotion. Max Emanuel Cenčić directs a lively production, drawing on the codes of commedia dell'arte. This game of love and chance combines passion, betrayal, and power struggles. The countertenor takes on the title role, while Leonardo García Alarcón conducts the Cappella Mediterranea.

Documentary deals with the fascination that this man arouses worldwide. How could such a hype and cult develop around such a controversial artist? This feature-length documentary shows how people in Bayreuth live with Wagner's legacy from festival to festival, how enthusiastic Wagnerians all over the world celebrate their composer and what people have to say who deal intensively with his work or interpret it as active artists on stage.

AKB48 2013 Manatsu no Dome Tour ~Mada mada, Yaranakya Ikenai koto ga aru~, is AKB48's summer concert, along with Nissan Stadium. Instead of just one dome concert, AKB48 will be touring Japan's 5 Big Domes as a concert instead.

In May 2024, Victor Leksell performed in his hometown of Gothenburg for thousands of devoted fans. A lineup of guests, such as Jireel, Miriam Bryant and Molly Sandén all helped out to create a fantastic and unforgettable night.

The Crane Chorus and Crane Symphony Orchestra of the State University of New York at Potsdam present a holiday concert conducted by Daniel Gordon and Christopher Lanz. The Christmas and seasonal selections include "O Come All Ye Faithful," "Deck the Halls," "Christmas Day: A Choral Fantasy on Old Carols," "The First Noel," "Hanukkah Festival Overture," and "Hark, the Herald Angels Sing."

CMT's "A Very Special Acoustic Christmas" at The Wildhorse saloon in Nashville on December 3. The program will be shown on CMT throughout December. With family and friends present, Daniel Barenboim celebrates his seventieth birthday in the company of Zubin Mehta, and the Staatskapelle Berlin. He starts with Beethoven's Piano Concerto in C minor (No. 3) and ends with Tchaikovsky's Piano No. 1 with an Eliot Carter short atonal piece sandwiched between. Both the Beethoven and Tchaikovsky are exquisitely and passionately performed by Barenboim as he commands the piano and dazzles the audience. The structural composition of each comes alive; especially in the 2nd movement of the Tchaikovsky Concerto when the beautiful Claudia Stein opens with a sad flute introduction repeated by the piano. One marvels at the nuance of the Russian composition played an Argentine Israeli with a German orchestra conducted by a man born in Bombay. Mehta in his marvelous laconic way might be seen as the onlooker but the generous Barenboim does not allow it. He brings in Mehta and makes him part of it at all times.
