A papercut stopmotion animation in which human Travelers from 2053 travel 30 years into the past to warn "foundlings" of the future that awaits them. The story follows Jonah and his Traveler, learning about the possible chaotic future that could happen if such measures are not applied.

This film tells the story about the Pope’s call to care for our planet. In 2015, Pope Francis wrote Laudato Si’, a letter to the world confronting the looming calamity of human impact on Earth and ourselves. It is one of the most ambitious and revolutionary papal statements in history and outlines the most critical environmental and social issues that we collectively face.

Ningwasum follows two time travellers Miksam and Mingsoma, played by Subin Limbu and Shanta Nepali respectively, in the Himalayas weaving indigenous folk stories, culture, climate change and science fiction.

In October 1980, at a beachside resort in St. Petersburg, Florida, twenty experts gather for a weekend conference on an issue starting to gain traction: the effects of carbon dioxide emissions and rising global temperatures on the climate. This group of environmental activists, scientists, and U.S. policymakers have a simple mandate from Congress: write a statement about what to do and how Congress should react. Easier said than done.

It begins at the margins of power: a few teenagers protest outside parliament, cardboard signs in hand and an unyielding determination in their eyes. From there, Helena Molin’s long-term portrait unfolds—of a generation forced early on to confront the ruthlessness of politics. Their fight for the climate and for justice runs parallel to a life that should be about friendship, play, and future dreams, but is repeatedly interrupted by the failures of the adult world. The result is an intimate and powerful depiction of what happens when moral responsibility is placed in the hands of those still searching for their place in the world.

“The Keeping of Bees” is a short informative dance film that brings light to one of the many effects human behavior and climate change has had on a very important species; bees. Bees are responsible for pollinating a very large portion of our vegetation and food. It is estimated 1/3 of every bite of food is a product of bee pollination. Utilizing audio from NPR Weekend Edition with Scott Simon, we learn through Frank Aletru the many struggles beekeepers are facing today by combining dance, humor, and education.

By erasing the boundaries that label individuals as hypocrites, the narrative invites viewers to recognize the urgent need for collective action and change.

Climate change is among the world’s greatest challenges. As a small Caribbean island, Cuba is disproportionately affected by climate change through extreme weather events. Up to 10% of Cuban territory could be submerged by the end of the century, wiping out coastal towns, polluting water supplies, destroying agricultural lands and forcing one million people to relocate. Finding solutions is now essential. In this documentary, Dr Helen Yaffe goes to Cuba to find out about ‘Tarea Vida’ (Life Task), a long-term state plan to protect the population, environment and the economy from climate change. The Cuban approach combines environmental science, natural solutions and community participation in strategies for adaptation and mitigation. Within months, her strike evolved into a global movement as the quiet teenage girl on the autism spectrum becomes a world-famous activist.

When nature is destroyed, climate targets are disregarded and human rights are violated, there is always a lot of money behind it. This is where urgewald comes in. Since 1992, the environmental and human rights organization has been revealing the sources of money behind destructive projects. Over 30 years ago, a handful of activists gathered around a table in a shared flat to form the basis of the organization. Since then, the small club in the Münsterland province has become a recognized, powerful organization.

This short documentary addresses the global issue of climate change, highlighting its unequal impacts on rural communities in deltaic regions of both the Global South and North. While the Global North is a major contributor to climate change, its devastating effects are most felt in the Global South, particularly in regions like Trarza, Mauritania, where agriculture is severely impacted. Similarly, the Terres de l’Ebre in Catalonia faces rising sea levels and land erosion, threatening local livelihoods. These shared challenges provide a rich opportunity for youth from both regions to engage in dialogue and storytelling.

The short film composition, created together with UK-based music producer Koreless, combined over 150 field recordings of local animals who depend on the health of the Great Salt Lake, including hundreds of species of birds, amphibians, insects, and mammals. Drawn from existing archives as well as new recordings made for the project, the nature sounds have been mixed and translated into a musical composition that differs greatly from how the sounds would be encountered in the wild. The non-human voices are amplified and arranged into rhythmic beats to appeal to the human audience, so that they might perceive the lake in a new light and recognize its vulnerability. The film was projected as part of an art installation in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, in March and April, 2026.
