Unveiling a personal, intimate account of Lizzie Armanto beyond her skateboarding accolades and identity as one of the world’s most talented skateboarders, the film is the first to explore Lizzie’s life through the lens of those closest to her, including her mother, husband as well as skate legend Tony Hawk.

It is not a historical documentary, but a collection of stories shot in 1999 while Coan and Rick traveled from southern California to Seattle and around the east coast in search of pools to ride. FRUIT OF THE VINE profiles the people who search for, find, break into, and ultimately glean some use out of these pieces of the American suburban wasteland.

With an all-star cast of ‘cross mentors - including Sven Nys, Shirin van Anrooij, and Puck Pieterse - Mitch will learn how to hop, run, and crash his way around a cyclocross course. His new-found skills will then be put to the test in perhaps the biggest challenge of Mitch’s career: an actual, real-life, cyclocross race. Off the bike, Mitch will meet with fans and experts to discover the history of the sport and see why cyclocross has a reputation as the most fun hour of bike racing you can watch. Will Mitch fall in love with cyclocross or be left crying out for tarmac? One thing’s for sure: there will be mud.
