Nagarvadhu movie is about the story of Sukanya (Vani Viswanath) who is born in a pious Brahmin household as the eldest of three daughters, is a medical student. She is to marry her lover and neighbour Sethu Raman. But when Sethu Raman is hit and killed by a jeep and when Sukanya is abducted and later arrested on charges of prostitution, things take a totally new turn for her.Sukanya is married off to Sreeharshan.

Purappadu deals with social issues between Muslims and Hindus in a village who are forced to relocate when a flood destroys their village.

Venugopal takes his mentor's brother Rajan under his wing and makes him his manager. Venu falls for Devi whom he later realizes is already engaged to Rajan. Rajan marries Devi with Venu's blessing.
