Manjunatha, an atheist, fights against social evils. He marries Kathyayini, a staunch devotee of Lord Shiva. As the days go by, Manjunatha realizes the existence of God.

Two sons that are separated as children grow up in drastically different environments.

The story is about a family in which mother and son together fight against father for the principles and human values. Srividhya, as a ditched wife, rises up her kid Rakesh (Venkatesh) with well behavior, manner and makes him a good lawyer to do justice to the fellow woman who are cheated brutally by their husbands. How Rakesh takes the revenge on his father for the injustice that he had done to his mother is the crux of the film.

Rani, a traditional village girl, and Priya, a progressive young woman from America, compete for the love of "Balayya," a charming man torn between the two.

One day she finds love in a photographer (Suresh) and marries him, while Vijay plays a lover boy and marries Ramya Krishna. However, Sakshi's happiness ends when she finds out that her husband is two-timing her. Vijay consoles her but his wife is unhappy that he spends so much time with her and gives him an ultimatum. He chooses his friend and takes care of her and her unborn child and later reunites her with her husband.

Widower Murugan moves to Kerala with his three children and irons clothes to make a living. While dealing with daily issues, he also aims to fund the operation of his child who is visually impaired.

Venu, a violinist enters in a contract to marry the daughter of a wealthy industrialist. The girl has a fatal health problem.

Ramakrishna (Chiranjeevi) is a mechanic whose life changes when he meets Priya (Anjala Zaveri) at a train station. She sees him and feels some inexplicable connection and runs away with him to flee her father, Mahendra's (Prakash Raj) goons. They end up living in the forest with their son, but her father, who is an underworld don, kidnaps her so that he can marry her off to another don's son. Ramakrishna confronts her father and in the ensueing struggle Priya takes the bullet shot at her husband and dies. Their son, because of the shock, loses his voice and Ramakrishna is jailed. Mahendra takes the boy away to Kolkata, where the story originally started. Rama Krishna with the help of Padmavathi (Soundarya) reunites with his son.

Bharathan (Mammootty) and his friends (Mala Aravindan, Siddique and Bobby Kottarakkara) earn money by gambling in the streets. But Bharathan is forced to close down his business when a carnival is organised in the village. Bharathan manages to get a job in the carnival company and soon becomes the most trusted person of its owner Chandrappan, who is fondly called as Bhai. James, another worker at the company is envious about the growth of Bharathan.

Major Nair trains the new batch of trainees at the army training centre. Things take a turn when a dangerous criminal makes two of the trainees import drugs from the neighboring country.

Vasu and Chacko are working as drivers and low ranking workers for the Abkari contractor Sreekandan. Sreekandan is heavily involved in the smuggling of liquor from the neighbouring state of Tamil Nadu in order to increase the already high profits in his business. For some time the jobless youngsters try illegal brewing of hooch.

Aravindan is shot at by the police for murdering Madhavan, a landlord. Ironically, he is supposed to be treated by Madhavan's daughter, Dr Savithri, who feels compassionate towards Aravindan.

A journalist, Ravishankar is suffering from blood cancer and has lost all hopes. That is when he meets a Vedic doctor. But his death is more awaited than his recovery.

Jaishankar sends away his son Vijay out of fear of the greedy relative Thalaivasal. When Vijay returns after a long time, Thalaivasal assigns him the job of killing Jaishankar's son, unaware of his real identity.

In a time of rapid social and economic changes, a group of villagers resort to a revolution against the systematic exploitation meted out by moneylenders and politicians.

Chandradas, a renowned poet, accidentally meets his estranged teenage daughter, Harita. After great effort, he is able to take his daughter to his ancestral home. But Harita's past haunts her.
