Donnie Munro's lasts concert as lead singer of Runrig. The band bid a tearful farewell to lead singer Donnie Munro in this live performance at Stirling Castle, recorded in the summer of 1997. Tracks include 'The Greatest Flame', 'Precious Years', 'Loch Lomond' and 'Hearts of Olden Glory'.

The year 2013 marked the 40th Anniversary of the band Runrig. To celebrate this anniversary concerts were organised in Denmark and Germany as well as Scotland. Fans continue to treasure the songs and performances of John Denver, one of the most popular recording artists of the 20th century. Before his death in 1997, Denver toured the world, landing in Birmingham, England, for the 1986 concert captured here. The sunny country star provides heartfelt renditions of many of his biggest hits, including "Take Me Home, Country Roads" and "Sunshine on My Shoulders."

The popular all female singing group brings its unique Celtic sound to a live concert at Powerscourt in Ireland.

The original buxom quartet of female singers, Lisa, Maev, Orla, and Chloe, have duly been joined by Hayley and are, as usual, backed by a full symphony orchestra and choir, plus enough traditional instruments (the house fiddler, Mairead, is a powerhouse) to keep things legit. The material ranges from folkloric, to a standard from another Celtic nation, to classical lite, to movie hits, to homegrown New Age.

This musical celebration charts the lives and careers of some of the biggest selling acts in Irish rock, punk and pop from Van Morrison and Thin Lizzy to The Undertones and U2. From the pioneers of the showbands touring in the late 50s through to the modern day, the film examines their lineage and connections and how the hardcore, rocking sound of Belfast merged with the more melodic, folky Dublin tradition to form what we now recognise as Irish rock and pop.

When the immigrants came to America, their cultures entered the "great melting pot." In Michigan's Upper Peninsula Finnish immigrants mixed their musical traditions with many other cultures, creating a sound that was unique to the "Copper Country."

"Year Of The Flood" is a recording of Runrig's "Beat The Drum" outdoor concert on 18 August 2007 at Borlum Farm, near Drumnadrochit, on the shores of Loch Ness in the Highlands. This flagship event was part of of "Highland 2007", a series of cultural events to celebrate Highland culture. Originally produced for PBS's Great Performances Series, La Pastorela is a musical retelling of the shepherds' journey to Bethlehem to see the Christ Child. We see the tale through the eyes of a modern young girl, the oldest child in a large rural Tex-Mex family. During a surrealistic dream, which brings to mind "The Wizard of Oz," the young chicana makes a fantastical journey with the shepherds and along the way; witnesses the triumph of God's Angels over Satan's diablo's. Full of drama, comedy, fantasy and wonderful music; this is a rare film the whole family can enjoy together.
