A young woman just released from a mental institution returns home to her mansion and faces a new set of horrors.

Two teenagers on the cusp of adulthood are both skiving from school on the same afternoon - both have been forced to grow up too soon. By meeting, they get the chance to feel young for a moment. When the two teenagers meet they get a glimpse into each other's lives, forming a connection which provides them a fleeting escape from their realities. 'Skive' is a coming-of-age, social realism film based in the South-West. It's a story of connection, defiance and hope, against the backdrop of the difficult realities of two young people in our current time.

The story is set at the beginning of the 20th century in Sicily. Salvatore, a very poor farmer, and a widower, decides to emigrate to the US with all his family, including his old mother. Before they embark, they meet Lucy. She is supposed to be a British lady and wants to come back to the States. Lucy, or Luce as Salvatore calls her, for unknown reasons wants to marry someone before to arrive to Ellis Island in New York. Salvatore accepts the proposal. Once they arrive in Ellis Island they spend the quarantine period trying to pass the examinations to be admitted to the States. Tests are not so simple for poor farmers coming from Sicily. Their destiny is in the hands of the custom officers.

Aaron a young blind boy from Fort Kochi aspires to become a cricketer. In order to realize his dream, he joins the Indian Cricket team for the blind where he meets coach Gopalkrishnan. A ray of hope shines in their lives as he encourages them and instills hope in their heart.

Martin, a young blind photographer, is divided between his friendship with restaurant worker Andy and the exclusive love that Celia—who is terribly jealous of this new friendship—has for him.
