Worlds collide at an awkward dinner party in 1959 New England. Tables turn when a progressive biracial couple attends dinner at the imposing home of an unexceptional artist and questionable psychiatrist. By daybreak, they find themselves pawns in a cynical game that exposes the cracks in their facades.

"Mani" is 12 and trying to come to terms with his burgeoning puberty/sexuality. He discovers that his mother is having an affair with the family driver. In "My Brother", the brothers Umberto and Stefano have to share a room, with the elder Umberto being forced to look after his younger brother, who constantly seeks contact and affection.
