So You Think You Can Dance - The Next Generation is a dance competition show on Dutch television RTL 5. It is the youth spin-off version of the internationally franchised reality competition TV show So You Think You Can Dance. Only children get to participate as contestants. Unlike the adult Dutch language version of So You Think You Can Dance this junior spin-off is not a joint Belgian-Dutch venture.

JIVA! is a fun and energy-packed drama series that follows the life of the talented street dancer Ntombi, who while juggling the demands of a dead end job, family responsibility and a rocky love life realises that her dance moves could be her ticket out of her working class neighbourhood in Durban. But first, she must overcome her fears, beat her rivals and sort out the chaos that is her family.

The talent and variety program showcased the artistic abilities of local children in an entertaining family genre. The show was marked by a characteristically home-spun style and had great appeal to many different age groups. Indeed, many participants in the original show have enjoyed illustrious careers as performers around the world. During the program, host Bill. Lawrence engaged in casual, light-hearted banter with the performers before and after each act. The questions usually revolved around a child's school, home life, family and likes and dislikes.

Celebrities and their professional dance partners strut their stuff on the dancefloor. Each week, one couple is voted off by the public and a panel of judges. And so it goes week after week until just one star remains.
