Between 1954 and 1966 there was, in a desert area of Fuerteventura, a Francoist concentration camp known by the euphemistic name of Colonia Agrícola Penitenciaria de Tefía, one of many places where the regime sent those convicted under the Law of Vagos y Maleantes which, from 1954, was implemented to also include homosexuals. In 2004, Airam Betancor was forced to recall the seventeen months of forced labor he endured in the colony.

Hall's Pictorial Weekly, Incorporating the Provincial Vindicator is an Irish satirical television series which was broadcast on Radio Telefís Éireann from 1971 to 1980. Da Möb is a Swedish animated series, created by Magnus Carlsson, about three youngsters who form a rap band called Da Möb. They try to get a record deal. It aired in the United States from 2001–2002 and in Sweden from 2002-2003. The name Da Möb comes from The Mob with a joke heavy metal umlaut.

Crimewatch is a television program produced by the National Crime Prevention Council and Singapore Police Force. Currently presented by serving regular police officers, it showcases the work of the Singapore Police Force including solved cases, appeals for unsolved cases, as well as crime prevention advice.

Pumuckl is a Kobold from a German radio play series for children. He is a descendant of the Klabautermänner. He is invisible to people around him except for the master carpenter Eder with whom Pumuckl lives. Pumuckl was invented by Ellis Kaut for a radio play series of the Bavarian Radio in 1961. Later on it was turned into a very successful TV series. Three movies and a musical also deal with the adventures of the little kobold. Pumuckl is one of the most popular characters in children's entertainment in Germany and several generations have now grown up with the cheeky but funny little Kobold.

Jack Hanna's Animal Adventures is a reality television series about animals and their exciting adventures. This series is hosted by Jack Hanna, Director Emeritus of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. It is shown weekly in syndication across the country on numerous stations and networks. It is particularly popular in part because of Hanna's mainstream name recognition as an animal expert, but also because the show meets programing criteria for federally mandated educational and informational requirements which all stations must follow. Because of this, some networks air the show five days per week, thus covering all but a half hour of the three-hour E/I mandate.

The Wannabes is a television situation comedy, created by Doreen Spicer-Dannelly, which follows the lives of classical performing arts high school students who want to be pop stars. The five stars of the series are from the pop recording group, Savvy. Although not produced or filmed in Australia, the series premiered on June 14, 2010, on both ABC1 and ABC3 in an tween oriented timeslot.

Nuzzle and Scratch is a British children's television programme, shown on CBeebies. It stars two eponymous puppet alpacas created and developed by Barry Quinn and Alan Robinson and written by various writers.

As the Podcats evolve in virtual worlds and interact with their inhabitants, their fast-paced adventures joyfully caricatures these universes. As self-respecting Mini-geeks, these rocking whiz kids know their videogame, internet and high-tech environments. The profcats files, featured in all episodes, are a survival kit to the worlds explored by the podcats.

Shaq Vs. is an American reality television show produced for ABC by Dick Clark Productions and Media Rights Capital starring American basketball star Shaquille O'Neal. It began airing on August 18, 2009. Shaquille O'Neal claims to be "the greatest athlete" and challenged numerous top athletes in their own sports. The Washington Post has pointed out similarities to Shaq Vs. and Todd Gallagher's book "Andy Roddick Beat Me With a Frying Pan" saying the book and the show have "precisely the same premise" and that a TV show based on the book Gallagher was trying to sell was "the exact same show." TMZ later reported that Gallagher received a half-a-million dollar settlement. Gallagher's name appears in the credits of season 2 as a producer. The Arizona Republic reported that in early 2008 Steve Nash, a former teammate of O'Neal's, had mentioned to O'Neal a reality show he was pursuing that would feature Nash taking on professional athletes in their own sport. O'Neal said Nash's idea was based on training with other athletes, not competing against them. Nash would not confirm the Republic's story and said, "We collaborated on parts of the show." Nash is an executive producer of the program.
