The trials and tribulations of a two man, digi-folk band who have moved from New Zealand to New York City in the hope of forging a successful music career. It was set at an esteemed performing arts college near Barcelona, Spain, and focuses on 13 teenagers who are invited to enrol at the college, Avalon Heights, over the summer. All eight members of the pop group S Club 8 star in the show alongside five other young actors and actresses and Hollywood film actor Christopher Lloyd. The show has the members of S Club 8 playing supposedly exaggerated versions of themselves, albeit with identical names to their real life counterparts. Each episode of the show includes several songs and dance numbers involving both members and non-members of the band. Cast member George Wood called the show "a modern day Fame".

Phlengrak is the cherished son of the Phleng Phin Isan Lamsing mor lam troupe. Fate leads him to fall for Janphen, the daughter of the likay troupe Phet Jaras Fah's owner. He's faced with a serious obstacle, however, because Janphen's father Thuaithep loathes mor lam due to his painful history with mor lam singer Kesorn. As a result, he's completely forbidden everyone in the likay troupe from getting involved with mor lam artists.

Kengkaj dreams of being a singer but lacks talent, failing to help Teacher Sanoh's struggling band. He meets the spirit of Karawek, a former star singer, who possesses him, making Kengkaj an overnight sensation. In return, Kengkaj must find Karawek's daughter, who turns out to be Chorkaew, Sanoh's adopted daughter, whom he falls in love with.

Within comedy circles, Maya Rudolph and Martin Short are considered two of the best sketch performers in the business. This series will feature sketches that spoof current events, celebrities and topical trends, as well as musical performances.
