The reign of the eighth shogun Tokugawa Yoshimune in the Edo period, was notable for the “Ooka Sabaki” which supported the Kyoho Reforms that Yoshimune advanced. Yoshimune goes beyond status and the position he has been thrust in, to join with Edo magistrate Ooka Tadasuke and the Western medicine doctor Sakakibara Iori in order to promote the creation of a world for the common people of Edo. These three men deepen exchanges with the magistrate’s office and the townsfolk, uphold justice and struggle to keep order in Edo…

From the Taisho era to the Showa 30s, known as the father of popular literature who left many masterpieces and was also a teacher of Shotaro Ikebana and Yumie Hiraiwa, this omnibus work was produced based on the works of Shin Hasegawa and broadcasted from 1972 to 1973 with a total of 30 episodes.

She is the daughter of a samurai who served the feudal lord Asai.

Oyuki, the daughter of a master swordsman in the Yaegaki-style, is a skilled practitioner of the secret technique "flying sword". She embarks on a journey alongside the naive samurai Isawa no Fujiyoshi, hailing from a peasant background, and Choshi no Yosaburo, an aspiring chivalrous rogue from a fishing village. Together, they travel and seek to punish the wicked.

Musashi Miyamoto left his village and ended up fighting in the battle of Sekigahara with his friend Matahachi, but Musashi Miyamoto lost Matahachi. He goes back to the village to inform Matahachi's family about what happened. At the village, he is persecuted by people there. Musashi Miyamoto becomes worn down physically and mentally. The Tokugawa Shogunate and Yagyū clan are trying to capture or kill them, while on the other hand villains want to use them. Akizuki Rokurōta decides to protect them from both sides.

Based on the novel of the same name by Jiro Ikushima, this drama series aired on NET TV (now TV Asahi) in 1972 for a total of 26 episodes. Starring the talented actor Kennosuke Yorozuya, who had previously shown his skills in various period films such as "Mabuta no Haha," "Seki no Yatappe," and "Kutsukake Tokijiro: Yoyo ichi-hiki," the show follows the tragic hero and is sure to captivate audiences with its compelling storyline.
