Unaccustomed as We Are

A hypothetical continuation; an animation based off of a gag from The Simpsons.

The Stooges are actors who can't hold a job, so they decide to jump off a high building and end it all. On the roof top they meet three pretty dancers with the same idea. Before they can jump, they meet a millionaire Broadway producer who hires them all for his next show. The rehearsal goes so well that he doubles their salary, but it all comes to naught when they discover that the "producer" is an escaped patient from Dr. Dippy's retreat.

Set in Arthurian times, the Stooges decide to help their friend Cedric the Blacksmith win the hand of the fair princess Elaine. At night the group sneaks into the castle to serenade Elaine, but pick the wrong window and are caught by the King. Tossed in the dungeon, the boys escape with Cedric's help and manage to foil the plans of the Black Prince who was plotting against the King. All turns out well when the grateful King allows Cedric to marry Elaine.

The stooges are discharged from the army and go to see their fiancée, but find they have been dispossessed and the wedding is off until they find a home. The boys have trouble finding a vacant apartment so they set up housekeeping in a vacant lot. Their housing problems seem to be solved until a farmer destroys their new home with a tractor. The stooges then build a house of their own, but the girls aren't impressed with the one room mansion and walk out on them.

The Stooges are managers of "Chopper", a beefy boxer, and they bet their bankroll on his next fight.

The stooges witness an armed robbery and are brought in by the cops as suspects. After passing a lie detector test, the boys are freed but are now the only ones who can identify the crooks. Meanwhile, their friend Gladys has inherited a house in the country and the boys go with her to inspect it so she won't be gypped when its sold. The house turns out to be the crook's hideout, and when they abduct Gladys, the stooges must rescue her.

Sid Gibson is a soap powder salesman who decides what he really needs is TV advertising. The problem is, he's absolutely broke. He calls upon his friend Arthur Ashton, who arranges to sneak a plug for Sid's suds into a live TV spectacular. The public goes bananas for the product but to maintain sales Sid and Arthur must arrange for ever more outrageous plugs on TV shows. The Ascots races, the Edinburgh Military Tattoo - no show is safe.

A lonely retail store owner lives with a dozen shop front mannequins. When a living, breathing and somewhat peculiar girl arrives on his doorstep, his carefully curated world is turned on its head.

Ana, a debutante actress, flees minutes before the premiere of her play due to an anxiety attack. Inside a café, she meets David, who, in an attempt to cheer her up, captivates her with the story of the 1950 World Cup final, Brazil versus Uruguay.

Sue works as psychic to prey on believers in the afterlife. Her show has some flaws. Imagine her shock when she discovers that ghosts can indeed appear to the living! Time to consult a real medium!

The director of the company Restaurants and Canteens arrives to attend a screening of a film made in various restaurants. A group of villagers come in to one of the restaurants for their lunch. The two waiters carry on chatting and ignore their customers. The head waiter finally brings them a crumpled menu, but whatever they order, he crosses off the menu and urges them to order something they do not want. In another restaurant a customer complains he has found a button in his sauce. The waiter promises to get him another portion but, once out of sight, he simply takes the button out of the food and brings back the same plate on which he has carelessly rearranged the food. Other customers are trying to pay but the staff point to the waiter with the wallet; he, however, is absorbed in watching a chess game and is neglecting his duties.

Hermann Krullmüller wants to wallpaper. He refuses the help of the housemaid's boyfriend, and of course everything goes wrong. His son Paulchen, who is always in the way, and the silly, giggling housemaid add to the general confusion.

The main character is a masked hero, akin to the great comedians of the 20th century, created by the Leningrad mime N.S. Nikitin.
