This has a little more to it than I was expecting. A wealthy gent (Stuart Lindsell) married to a jealous gold-digging wife (Kathleen Byron) decides to set up magazine. He asks John Bentley to edit it but before long concludes that his wife and Bentley are having an affair; except that he is actually in love with his daughter (Thea Gregory). Still with me? Next thing we know, Lindsell has died of a heart attack and Bentley is facing embezzlement charges as over £7,000 in dodgy cheques have been cashed. The investigation has a few interesting twists and turns and the story moves along sharpishly.
