Two Colonels

During the Middle Ages, a clumsy knight returns home where his wife awaits him. Sensuous and beautiful, she has attracted several male admirers during his absence, but her chastity belt has maintained her faithfulness. Now is her chance to wrest the key from him and enjoy herself. The knight’s portly friend has a similar problem with his equally gorgeous wife. And to top it off, both men have designs on the other’s wife — leading them to devise painful methods to discourage the other from trespassing.

A soldier returns with his pal from fighting in the Pacific during World War II only to discover his fiancee has married someone else. However, he falls in love with a woman at the hotel at which he is staying.

After the death of Salvatore in a car accident, his beautiful wife Catherine is preparing to collect the enormous legacy but, because the deceased did not make a will and when he was alive was sterile, his wife’s legacy will benefit only if, within three hundred days established by law, she will give birth to a son.

Roger Hudson, a wealthy businessman who has moved to Washington to work for the government as a "dollar a year man," is late for a radio broadcast about his new department, the Mobilization of Woman Power for War. He takes a cab driven by Dixie Dugan, who hopes that being a cabbie while the country's men are away fighting will help the war effort. Her incompetent driving, however, results in an accident for which Roger must take responsibility in order to reach the radio station in time. Dixie then returns home, where she lives with her father Timothy, who is constantly practicing his air raid warden duties, her mother Gladys, an aspiring Red Cross worker, and cousin Imogene, who studies incessantly to become a "quiz kid." The Dugans rent out their spare rooms to Dixie's fiancé, Matt Hogan, and to blustering Judge J. J. Lawson. Matt, who works in a munitions factory, wants Dixie to settle down and marry him, but Dixie is determined to help her country.

Target of ridicule from fellow military academy, the cowardly Augustin did not want to return to their village for fear of confronting his grandfather, a revolutionary colonel. In love with the movie star Laura, Agustin flee to the capital but encounters the dangerous Humberto, another in love with the actress. Thanks to his "nine lives", he attains overcome perilous adventures and, incidentally, overcome their fears.
