Led by Woody, Andy's toys live happily in his room until Andy's birthday brings Buzz Lightyear onto the scene. Afraid of losing his place in Andy's heart, Woody plots against Buzz. But when circumstances separate Buzz and Woody from their owner, the duo eventually learns to put aside their differences.

Julie's dying request is that Michael adopt her daughter Mitzi, whose father died years earlier. In order to prevent Mitzi from being taken to an orphanage, Michael lies and says he is her father. Elinor hears this, and without asking questions, leaves him and marries another man the same night.

The two twelve-year-old girls Charlotte Palfy and Louise Kröger meet on a language trip to Scotland and discover that they are twins who were separated shortly after birth. The girls realize that getting their parents back together is not as easy as they thought.

Along the way, she wreaks havoc on his middle-class life as he gets a lesson in learning to lighten up.

A gruff voice answers, eventually identifying itself as God and unwittingly providing proof of this. When Karo sees the man behind the voice, she is overcome with doubt. The attempts staged by Karo and God to save her parents' marriage trigger a rollercoaster of emotions. In the end, Karo has grown from her failed goal and has not only found new friends for her life, but also a new perspective.
