Fitzcarraldo is a dreamer who plans to build an opera house in Iquitos, in the Peruvian Amazon, so, in order to finance his project, he embarks on an epic adventure to collect rubber, a very profitable product, in a remote and unexplored region of the rainforest.

Against the will of the fathers (1926) was shot based on the story of Sholom Aleichem "Blood Stream", which talks about the participation of Jews in the 1905 revolution. The first version of the film, entitled "Mabul," was banned by the Soviet government. The 5-part version of the film has survived: a version modified by the will of censorship with other names of the characters, an updated storyline, a more positive attitude and a happy ending. The finale of the final reel shows the mass scenes of the revolutionary struggle in St. Petersburg, the scene of the Jewish pogrom.

The film follows the lives of four upper-class teenage boys in Tashkent, Uzbekistan including the shy son of a famous film director, a chubby cut-up, son of a rich and successful businessman, and a tough aspiring playwright who works after school to avoid his raging alcoholic of a father. The four all live in the same housing complex and go to the same high school, where they fall for a beautiful, tough-as-nails new female student. Within the exotic locale of Uzbekistan, the boys experience the usual "growing pains" as they fall in love, "borrow" the family car, work hard to earn extra money and have too much to drink. A funny, touching slice-of-life comedy-drama.
