Dateline NBC, or simply Dateline, is a weekly American television newsmagazine series. It was previously the network's flagship newsmagazine, but now focuses mainly on true crime stories with only occasional editions that focus on other topics.

Real-life stories of outwardly lovable but inwardly evil men and the heinous crimes they commit. They boast good looks and ooze charm and charisma, but deep down are destructive, heartless criminals who kill to get what they want.

Criminal Mindscape is a television documentary series on MSNBC that profiles the minds of extreme criminals. Different interviewers interview subjects such as Ron Luff and Joseph Paul Franklin. Interviewers are often from various fields of criminal justice as opposed to journalism. Interviewers attempt to develop psychological profiles of individual criminals.
