Startime, an anthology of drama, comedy and variety, was one of the first American television shows broadcast in color.

The series featured writing contributions from renowned playwrights Stephen Gallagher, Glenn Chandler and Anthony Horowitz.

When Ryuu is born his tribe tries to sacrifice him to a Tyrannosaurus named Shirano because of the color of his skin. He is however saved by a monkey who raises him as her own son. Meanwhile Ryuu's mother has left the tribe and is out on a quest to find Ryuu. 16 years later Ryuu meets a girl named Ran who was sold to the tribe Ryuu originaly came from. The tribe is not happy to see Ryuu alive and tries to sacrifice him again, this time by burning him alive. Before they can get the deed done the tribe is massacred along with Ryuu's adoptive mother by Shirano. Ryuu then sets out on a quest together with Ran to find his mother and Ran's brother Don.

Ryan's Four is an American medical drama television series that aired from April 5 until April 27, 1983.

Umakai Shintaro, a Russian diplomat originally from Japan, defects and goes to Sapporo to teach at a girls academy. However, that girls academy is not typical—it is on board the Amanohara, and the five girls Shintaro teaches are known as the Lime Unit—girls with the ability to summon powerful beings to fight for them. They also learn that there are 7 witches with special abilities and that the 7 witches can use their special abilities by kissing, so Urara and Ryu set out to find the 7 witches.

Staz is a vampire from the surreal "Demon World", and Fuyumi, an ordinary girl, accidentally wanders into the Demon World through a portal. Subsequently after meeting each other, Fuyumi is killed by a carnivorous plant and turned into a ghost, causing Staz to take responsibility and pledge to help bring her back to life.

Masayoshi Tsuruda, known as Jumbo, returns to a small port city due to a loan given to the late director of the Baba Clinic. Soon, Masayoshi Tsuruda becomes the director at Baba Clinic.

Sawano has lost his job due to depression and isn't on good terms with his wife and 6-year-old son. After a failed suicide attempt, he discovers 7 letters which had not been delivered and sets out to give them to their intended recipients in a way of counting down to the end of his life.
