During the quarantine in 2020, the two friends Mariano Llinás and Matías Piñeiro sent each other video letters – 8 in total, 4 each of them – to create a compilation of ideas, thoughts and exchanges commissioned by Sergi Álvarez Riosalido for La Casa Encendida (Madrid). Llinás is in Argentina and Piñeiro is in New York, and they begin to order each other portraits of places, reflections on artists, ideas on cinema.

On April 29th, 2011 Clintus, Wadels & Wesso arrived separately in Las Vegas and not long after, were joined by Mikael and Starr for several days of ’Buck’ action which included various ‘debaucherous’ buck activities; the highlight of which was possibly the rifle range. On the 4th of May, Mikael and Andrew parted ways with the Three Amigos leaving them to hit the (wrong side) of the road with weary eyes in their all-American GMC SUV. They travelled through Nevada to the Grand Canyon, with a side trip of nearly 4 hours to the Meteor site around 43 miles east of Flagstaff. In subsequent days, they travelled through Monument Valley, Durango, Buena Vista, Colorado Springs, Santa Fe, Lincoln, Roswell, Tyler, Lubbock, Austin, Mesquite before finally arriving in New Orleans.

The Lincoln Highway was established in 1913 as America’s first coast-to-coast paved highway. It connected New York City with San Francisco and passed through towns and cities in 13 states. It was an adventure for early motorists, and drivers today still love its hidden charms and all the stuff along its several paths. A RIDE ALONG THE LINCOLN HIGHWAY considers some of the history of the road and shows some of the joys of finding and riding along the various alignments of the highway today. Along the way, we meet highway historians and enthusiasts from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Evanston, Wyoming, and many places in between. We check out the cottages at the Lincoln Motor Court near Bedford, PA, stop for lunch in Mount Vernon, Iowa, meet some folks in Eureka, Nevada, and even walk out to the end of the Berkeley pier in California. It's a great trip.
