'It was in San Francisco at a punk festival. I was already high and the air was so thick in the rooms that you could cut it with a knife. I had a photograph camera with me; I stood in a corner of the entrance hall and took 36 pictures on slide film. At home I put the slides into a slide projector. I took out the lens and filmed the slides by filming directly from the projector - using single frames according to a certain plan.'

A solitary man works in a tall office building. The only moment in his drab life that's out of the ordinary each year seems to be opening the birthday card and gift from his mother. Usually it's a tie, but one year it's an accordion. It goes into the closet with his many ties. A year or two later, he discovers what happens to the papers he processes every day. His discovery sends him first to the building's top floor, then to his closet.

A knight returns home from the Crusades to find his village devastated by disease and his family gone. He roams the forest searching for them, until he finds a mysterious maiden who is being held prisoner by a black knight. In order to free her, he must confront her captor.

With script and direction by Pablo Villaça and starring the comedian Geraldo Magela, Morte Cega has as main character a failed filmmaker named Francis (Maurício Canguçu, producer and one of the main actors of the theatrical success "Believe, a Spirit Downloaded Me"). One night, Francis has a frightening dream about Magela, known throughout the country for playing the character O Ceguinho. Determined to make a short film based on this dream, Francis uses his producer friend, Martinho (Carlos Magno Ribeiro, who acted in Villaça's first short, A_ética), to get to the comedian. I turned my gaze to the various events in daily life and made this filmic diary in a manner as if confessing my feelings. Of course, since I was making the film, I wanted to depict these feelings and events with tricky techniques. I used various methods to shoot photographs of a relative's wedding, the landscape I see from window of my house, commemorative travel photographs and the like frame-by-frame.
