Based on author James H. Tevis' Arizona in the 50s. Natural dangers and hostile Indians create problems for travelers in the West in the 1850s; a young man almost killed in an Indian raid looks to a frontier scout, Mose Carson, for an education. They get involved in a plan to sell wild mustangs to the Army. The edited-down theatertical release of a 3-part miniseries that aired on television.

Heyes rushes to the town and sees Curry in the audience; the man on trial is an impostor who didn't commit the murder he's accused of. It occasionally appeared in syndication as a TV movie, under its own name, with the series title bluntly edited out of the regular series' opening credits.

Another of the series of "movies" created by stitching two episodes of the "Wild Bill Hickok" TV series together, U. S. Marshal Wild Bill Hickok and his deputy Jingles P. Jones are working to solve the mystery of a number of gold robberies from a stage line and expose the plot of a bank manager to buy the bank with funds stolen from it. Wrapping that one up tightly in less than thirty minutes, they move on up the road to round up another gang that has been holding up Wells Fargo offices, with Jingles posing as a medicine show magician.

The Pony Express opens up an office in Virginia City. Despite being an investor, Ben objects to Joe signing up as a rider. Adding to his concerns, the Paiute Indians don't want the Pony Express riding across their land, and the manager's assistant, Curtis Wade, is itching to make a name for himself as an Indian fighter.
