One holiday morning, a cleaning woman arrives at work alone. She discovers an unconscious man among the garbage. Another man, looking for a garbage bag, approaches them. The three strangers decide to go in search of the missing bag.

On the surface, this collection of shorts by up-and-coming African American filmmakers arrived at a perfect time. The cutting-edge products of the New Black Cinema of the early '90s had disappeared, giving way to embarrassingly stereotypical, scatological fare such as Booty Call and Next Friday. This feature-packed compilation (which includes production notes, interviews with all of the filmmakers, and audio commentary by four) attempts to prove that African American cinema is intent on moving past the lowbrow humor, as six of the seven shorts steer clear of any comedy.

Love has packed up and left the castle. The queen has snuck back to her Kingdom of Skedaddle. But one person’s loss is a scoundrel’s gain: Bonifacio, a teller of tall tales, sees in the forlorn queen the perfect target for his hackneyed charms. As summer approaches, he changes himself into a sweet talker and sings her praises. Things would have worked out perfectly if only Princess Molly hadn’t arrived on the scene. While visiting her mother, she quickly discovers the hoax: the queen thinks she’s found a new husband in Bonifacio. But the swindling storyteller is really only interested in the kingdom’s legends.

Erkan changes his gender and become a transexual. The doorman of his apartment has a crush on Erkan's woman view. The doorman witnesses the argument between Erkan and two men. He finds out that that Erkan is originally a man under the attractive woman view. The doorman is frustrated.

Through an experimental lens, we see the drama unfold as Saoirse is interrogated by her Nanny after refusing her Sunday roast sausages. Saoirse is a contemporary Irish Catholic teenager, showcasing the progressive youth and nature of Northern Ireland - ‘wrecking’ her Nanny's nerves in the process.

Bolero de amor

A dream-like version of the Sabbath in the Middle Ages: one night at full moon, the women leave home to meet with the devil in the woods. Several orgiastic ceremonies later, they all return home at cockcrow. All except for one, the youngest, who is under an evil spell.

Everyday, the main character, who is confined in a dark room, sees sunlight coming through the window: he flees from the closed place to an infinite one.

Party girl Annie and Gordon, a homeless man, travel through a remote subway tunnel to a different time; to a world where two children are held captive and tormented by bizarre figures. A multilayered animated film which brings to life the dark history of the Canadian residential school system, in which – as recently as the 1990s – First Nations children were being indoctrinated and estranged from their parents and culture.
