The Awakening

An experimental sampled film which shows the pleasurable art of movies about movies through scenes inside of theaters.

This is the tale of a meandering nomad, from a starved and barren rummage to a plunge into immaterial primitive madness and chaotic metamorphosis, narrated through a four-chapter surreal descent, where sight and sound are one if not none.

Yee-ha! Strawberry and her friends are in for some of the berry best fun in the west! Strawberry and Angel Cake take jobs at Berry Prairie Dude Ranch and turn out to be excellent little cowgirls! But when the two friends must compete to become "Best Ranch Hand," they lose sight of their responsibilities - and their horseback riding trail! Will they realize that being careful and listening to direction is more important than winning? More challenges gallop in when Purple Pie Man tries to put Carmel Corn's farm out of business so he can replace it with an amusement park - PieManLand! Hoping to help out, Strawberry and her pals put on a good old-fashioned country fair to earn enough money to keep their berry favorite farm in business.

The sun’s energy circulates throughout the earth, feeding the cycle of life. Everything is connected in a natural loop, which repeats, like the circular discs of magical optical toys. This perfectly balanced rhythm is disrupted by human excess, throwing the cycle out of orbit and temporarily stopping the circulation of energy in nature.

Keratin is a collaboration with the London Sinfionetta, visually responding to Gavin Higgins' Seven Welsh Folk Songs: I. Dacw 'Nghariad i. The film tells the journey of a mating of elements, two bodies grieve over a lost third: a child separated from their womb. The three bodies bound by their keratin, regain connection in a wombic journey which spiritually networks the three into a fused collective body.

Sarah and her two cats go about their separate lives. The cats have strange dreams about their desires, and Sarah develops an unshakable paranoia that something is wrong with them. Sarah's paranoia bleeds into her social life, and her two cats have their dreams come true.

A deep and introspective analysis of my relationship to the Catholic God I grew up worshipping. Guilt, shame, and repressed desires are the themes explored, specifically in relation to being gay and dealing with the internal conflicts that it caused me.
