One holiday morning, a cleaning woman arrives at work alone. She discovers an unconscious man among the garbage. Another man, looking for a garbage bag, approaches them. The three strangers decide to go in search of the missing bag.

On the surface, this collection of shorts by up-and-coming African American filmmakers arrived at a perfect time. The cutting-edge products of the New Black Cinema of the early '90s had disappeared, giving way to embarrassingly stereotypical, scatological fare such as Booty Call and Next Friday. This feature-packed compilation (which includes production notes, interviews with all of the filmmakers, and audio commentary by four) attempts to prove that African American cinema is intent on moving past the lowbrow humor, as six of the seven shorts steer clear of any comedy.

Love has packed up and left the castle. The queen has snuck back to her Kingdom of Skedaddle. But one person’s loss is a scoundrel’s gain: Bonifacio, a teller of tall tales, sees in the forlorn queen the perfect target for his hackneyed charms. As summer approaches, he changes himself into a sweet talker and sings her praises. Things would have worked out perfectly if only Princess Molly hadn’t arrived on the scene. While visiting her mother, she quickly discovers the hoax: the queen thinks she’s found a new husband in Bonifacio. But the swindling storyteller is really only interested in the kingdom’s legends.

Agustí Martorell is a left-wing lawyer, atheist and former anti-Franco fighter, who discovers that his 15-year-old daughter Esther, influenced by the optional religion classes of Mossèn Parcerisas, a progressive priest and post-councillor, has converted to Catholicism and was secretly baptized.

Erkan changes his gender and become a transexual. The doorman of his apartment has a crush on Erkan's woman view. The doorman witnesses the argument between Erkan and two men. He finds out that that Erkan is originally a man under the attractive woman view. The doorman is frustrated.

A conman refuses to believe that the nice old lady sitting opposite him at the bar is a centuries-old vampire, yet he's starting to feel more and more uncomfortable. And that's not the only surprising revelation this short has in store for the viewer.
