Suzanne Stone wants to be a world-famous news anchor and she is willing to do anything to get what she wants. They hide out in someone's house and they hear on the answering machine that (A) the owner of the house is out of the country for a month or two and (B) the housesitter supposed to watch the house for the absent owner won't be able to watch the house due to a new job in another part of the country. This provides for a pretty nifty arrangement for Eddie and Lou...until the relatives of the house owner drop by to visit. Eddie quickly adopts the guise of the person supposedly housesitting for the owner, and the shenanigans start from there.

Vlada Koza sells her house in the Carpathians and flies to sunny Sicily to live with her daughter and help take care of her grandson. But no one expected her mother to arrive. After a quarrel with her daughter, Vlada accidentally finds herself at the villa of the once powerful Italian mafioso Don Fredo, now a widower who is experiencing deep crises - personal, family and financial. Vlada gets a job as a cleaner, but becomes the salvation of this house.

A country boy becomes the head of a gang through the purchase of some lucky roses from an old lady. He and a singer at the gang's nightclub try to do a good deed for the old lady when her daughter comes to visit.

Philo takes part in a bare knuckle fight – as he does – to make more money than he can earn from his car repair business. He decides to retire, but when the Mafia come along and arrange another fight, he's pushed into it. A motorcycle gang and an orangutan called Clyde all add to the 'fun'.

A by-the-books mob execution is thrown off-kilter when the would-be murderers learn that the man they're killing is Jewish, not Catholic.
