Paris, France, early 19th century. The legendary convict François Vidocq lives in disguise trying to escape from a tragic past that torments him. François Vidocq has deserted to go back to his wife and kids, so he becomes a thief. Unfortunately, he finds she had become Manon-la-blonde, mistress of a rich man named Ouvrard, and his children have disappeared. He offers his services to the chief of intelligence service and begins a fight against the Aristo, chief of the gang of the children of the sun. After a few years, he dismantles the gang, and finds both his sons. One has become a blackguard, the other a famous organist who is about to be knighted and will soon get married to his beloved.

Amid a rapidly changing cityscape, the lives of a disparate group of swindlers, hustlers, gangsters, and expats collide, with a naive French teenager and a sensitive young local who tries to protect her caught dangerously in the middle.

The story follows Güven, who works as a manager at an accounting firm in Kavşak. Güven, who has a happy marriage, sees his routine life begin to unravel when the new department manager, Arzu, moves into his office. Meanwhile, the landlord's son is trying to reach an agreement with a contractor to demolish the house they are living in, and accounting clerk Haydar is embezzling company funds. A small slip-up in Güven's life, combined with Arzu's uncontrollable curiosity, causes events to unfold like a snowball effect, leaving Güven cornered.
