Acoustic MTV is the fourth live album and the sixteenth of the career of Brazilian pop double Sandy and Junior. The brothers' last project as a duo was released in 2007, the year in which they announced their separation after 17 years as a musical duo.

In August of 1991, AC/DC headlined their third "Monsters Of Rock" festival at Castle Donington. One for the ages, the two hour set is loaded with classics and awesome visuals including firing cannons, the hells bell and a giant inflatable Rosie.

Acústico MTV é o álbum acústico da banda brasileira Capital Inicial, lançado em formato CD e DVD. Ele faz parte da série Acústico MTV da emissora MTV Brasil. Foi lançado em 2000. O álbum fez grande sucesso e emplacou seis músicas nas paradas musicais (Tudo Que Vai, Primeiros Erros, Natasha, Cai a Noite, Independência e Fogo), consagrando o ressurgimento estrondoso da banda, que teve início no álbum Atrás dos Olhos, lançado em 1998. Os convidados especiais para esta performance foram: Kiko Zambianchi (que, em nota, afirmou à Revista MTV que fora convidado porque "ninguém na banda sabia tocar violão") e Zélia Duncan.

The acoustic album of the Brazilian band Charlie Brown Jr. broadcast on MTV Brazil. The album contains interviews with the band and the making-of video recording, and features music known to the public, along with new songs "Vícios e Virtudes" and "Não Uso Sapato". The concert, which was recorded in São Paulo, with the participation of special guests. Marcelo Nova, Negra Li, the group RZO Marcelo D2 and sang with the Acoustic whiner. The repertoire some recordings of other composers, such as "Samba Makossa" (Chico Science, with special participation of Marcelo D2), "Hoje" (Marcelo Nova), with participation of the artist himself and "Oba Lá Vem Ela" (Jorge Ben Jor).

DeVille get back to basics with acoustic renditions of "Talk Dirty To Me" from their first album and "Look What The Cat Dragged In", "Your Mama Don't Dance" and "Every Rose Has A Thorn" from their second release plus "Open Up And Say ... This video is the MTV Unplugged performance which was recorded in New York on 5 March 1991. The difference between the version screened on MTV and this release however, is the inclusion of an additional song and interview. Whereas the MTV show concentrated on pre-'Soul Cages' songs, on this release you get excellent performances of 'Why Should I Cry For You' and 'The Wild Wild Sea'. As proved to be the case with the VH1 Storytellers show, Sting enjoyed himself so much doing the acoustic set, that the following month he did a similar set in his home town of Newcastle at the tiny Buddle Arts Centre. Since their 1993 debut album Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?, the Irish quartet, the Cranberries, have been captivating audiences with their unique sound. The band is comprised of frontwoman/lyricist Dolores O'Riordan, guitarist Noel Hogan, bassist Mike Hogan, and drummer Feargal Lawler. For their debut performance on "MTV Unplugged," The Cranberries performed material off their debut album and No Need To Argue. Recorded 14 February /95 at Brooklyn Academy of Music - Brooklyn, NY. MTV Unplugged is a 1993 live album by 10,000 Maniacs. The music was recorded for the MTV Unplugged series and it was also the last album by the band featuring Natalie Merchant as vocalist. In addition to the songs released on this album, four takes of "How You've Grown" were recorded, second takes of "Because the Night" and "Gold Rush Brides", a brief take of "Puff the Magic Dragon" and three other songs which featured singer David Byrne as a guest: "Let The Mystery Be" (two takes, one of which was released as a B-Side to "Few and Far Between" and on Campfire Songs: The Popular, Obscure and Unknown Recordings), "Jolene", and "Dallas". In 1994, it reached 13 on the Billboard 200.

MTV Unplugged is a DVD, released in 2002 by the band Staind. The DVD's main feature is Staind's unplugged performance, recorded at MTV studios at Times Square, New York. The show was recorded just before the band's third album, Break the Cycle, was released. The show was unique as it showcased how many of Staind's heavier songs suit the acoustic format. Of special note is the song "Can't Believe", (one of the heaviest songs found on Break the Cycle) a song full of heavy guitar riffs and loud screaming has now been turned into a quiet, melodic song full of sorrow. The unplugged show was so successful that Staind decided to use the acoustic format more often. While touring the 14 Shades of Grey album, Staind would often switch from an electric format to acoustic format. Aaron Lewis (Staind's vocalist and rhythm guitarist) also ventured on a small amount of solo shows, with only his acoustic guitar.

O disco traz as participações do cantor Samuel Rosa (líder do Skank), da cantora Pitty (em "Eu Quero Sempre Mais") e d'Os Paralamas do Sucesso (na canção "Envelheço na Cidade").
