Niyazi and Sansar live a poor life in a boarding house. The boarding house owner, Binnaz, brings Gül, whom she met in prison, to live at the boarding house. Gül and Niyazi fall in love with each other. One day, Gül, who is singing at a nightclub, catches Tanju's attention. Tanju offers Gül a position as a lead singer. This incident will cause a rift between Gül and Niyazi.

When Handan was a child, her father adopted an orphan named Cevat. However, her father died in an accident shortly thereafter. Orhan, Handan's older brother, who could never accept Cevat, saw this situation as an opportunity. He put Cevat to work as a laborer on his farm. He also sent Handan abroad to study for a while. However, Müjgan realizes Talip's true identity and intentions. Upon this realization, Müjgan voluntarily helps Talip. However, this help leads to the beginning of a love affair between the two.

Ayhan is orphaned at a young age. With the help of Hulusi Pasha, for whom his father worked as a servant, he continues his education. After completing his education and becoming an engineer, Ayhan wants to marry Selma, who grew up with him. Meanwhile, Selim becomes engaged to Filiz, the Pasha's daughter, in order to take advantage of her wealth. Some time later, Hulusi Pasha reveals to Ayhan and Selim that he has gone bankrupt. Upon hearing this, Selim breaks off the engagement, but Filiz is already pregnant. Upon learning of the situation, Hulusi Pasha suffers a heart attack and seeks to use Ayhan to save himself from this predicament.
